Disappointed

Went to my 37 wk check up today. And the dr didn't even check if i was dilated :( he told me you're going to give birth til your due date, he seemed  pretty positive about it. That's 3 more wks from now ;( I just want my baby girl to be in my arms!!!

I couldn't agree more with the previous poster and this is fantastic advice. I know you all want to meet your babies but it is better to wait until they are ready to come. Good luck!

Your baby will come when you and your baby are ready, and that will be the best time for both your health and wellbeing. The more natural, the better all hormones work together, and help you and your baby. Induction should only happen in case of increased risks, going over your due date by more than 2 weeks is one of them. But a normal healthy pregnancy can be between 37 and 42 weeks. That your gyn /ob doesn't want to rush anything, is a good sign, he/she knows what he's doing. Dilation doesn't say that much anyway: you can walk around for weeks with a few cm opening, or go from nothing to full opening in just a few hrs.

Just be patient and stay relaxed (stressing might signal your body you are not ready and cause everything to take longer). Your baby won't stay in your belly forever.
