Probable Miscarriage...looking for advice...

Found out that I was pregnant on 12/20/2014. Was a little concerned because other than being tired and some slight constipation, I really did not feel pregnant...this was drastically different from my other two pregnancies which yielded two healthy baby boys (who are now 9 and 7). I also was experiencing some cramping which concerned me and lower back pain (but I was recently diagnosed with degenerative disc disease and the pain is very similar to that). Because of the cramping I called the doctor this past Monday and they sent me to have my HcG level drawn on Monday and Wednesday of this week. They also ordered me to get a vaginal ultrasound on Wednesday. The ultrasounded showed an embronic sac as well as the yolk sac and the tech said that everything looked "normal" (although viability cannot yet be determined) for a 4-5 week pregnancy. My HcG level was 2909.5 on Monday but only rose to 3348.3 on Wednesday.

Here's the bigger issue...I had NO SPOTTING OF ANY KIND PRIOR TO THE TRANSVAGINAL ULTRASOUND...however, after the ultrasound (I mean immediately upon the wand existing my body) I began to lightly spot brown fluid which continued through the night on Wednesday and afternoon yesterday. Late yesterday afternoon my cramping became notibly worse (I have a pretty high threshold for pain so I don't know what constitutes as "doubled over cramping" but I am certainly uncomfortable)and my brown spotting (which was subsiding considerably throughout the morning and afternoon) became worse (another weird symptom...after every wave of bad cramping I am expelling a large amount of gas. That being said, I know the cramping is gynecologically related and not gastrointestinally related). And as the cramping became worse my spotting went from brown to very dark red. I have had a few small mucosal clots...I am wearing a pad that I have some spotting and streaking on but I am certainly not coming remotely close to soaking anything. I am finding that I only have blood when wiping after I go to the bathroom...usually the length and width of two fingers.

Reading the internet (which I have tried, to no avail, not to do) gives such conflicting information...as did speaking with the nurse at my ob/gyn's office. Just a "wait and see"...I am resting, drinking plenty of water, and trying to stay positive...but...I am really have a hard time doing that. I feel like I have to be a negative nelly in order to prepare myself for the inevitable. The nurse basically said that unless I am soaking one to two pass every hour that I should just see what happens over the weekend.

Has anybody had similar symptoms? If so, what were your outcomes?

Thank you all, in advance, so very much...I feel so blessed to have stumbled upon this group...Happy New Year and God Bless...

I'm going through this right now.  I has some very light spotting yesterday, and then cramps around suppertime that got worse.  I called healthlink And was told to go to the ER to get checked out.  I went and the doc did a bedside ultrasound that showed an egg sac, but he wanted clearer pictures so I had a full abdominal ultrasound and then transvaginal ultrasound.  The tech asked me to pee in between the two and I noticed that the spitting was not brown or pink anymore but bright red and stringy.  I had some pain during the ultrasound, which I didn't have 3 months ago in my fertility one.  The doctor explained that the radiologist didn't see anything which surprised him as he had seen something on the less clear ultrasound.  When I mentioned the increased bleeding he then said they thought maybe they saw tissue being excreted.  I went home, fell asleep and woke two hours later with intense pain, nausea and dizziness.  This morning I feel better but I soaked a pad last night and I know that I lost my 7 week embryo that we had just started calling blueberry.  I have low back pain that I can only guess is from the cramping.

Been there done that...twice. My bleeding started as spotting as you described right after the vaginal US. 3-4 days later I was gushing and should have just stayed on the toilet all day. Try to stay positive, but also be realistic as to what may happen. What got me through both of mine was knowing that everything happens for a reason and something just wasn't right. Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Keep head up you could just have a thin cervix lining and major movements or sex could lead to bleeding. Keep very well rested and nooo lifting don't exercise and wait for doctors to tell u otherwise. Ur hormone are going up not down so stay positive not everyone doubles every other day. They might put u on hormones to help produce more progesterone which helps increase cervical lining.
