Oh and he's born 6 days after due date.
Thursday at checkup i was dilated 2 cm. Yesterday i went in with regular intense contractions at 11pm and i was dilated 3cm. At 2am i was at 7 cm, 1hr later 10 cm. Our baby boy was born at 4.40 am.
Just to say: it can suddenly go fast!
I wouldn't worry. I've been 1 cm since 36 weeks. Just had my 39 week appt and I am almost 2 cm. so progress can be slow or rapid.
Don't over think it doll, our bodies do crazy things. I'm on baby #2- not as active as most. I've been at a 4 & 70% effaced with 2 sweeps and nothing to boast about for 3 weeks. Baby will come when baby and body have decided together they are ready. I'm 39+4 today and still waiting. Don't be depressed, keep walking and help everything loosen up! Soon!!
I wouldn't worry. I've been 1 cm since 36 weeks. Currently sitting here waiting for my 39 week dr appointment but despite the contractions and pelvic pain I am fully expecting to still be 1 cm.
Yeah, because i have cfs, i am not able to be very active, but i seem to be progressing now anyway. My sis in law went 2 weeks over due date, had to be induced, and she walked a lot every day.
I hardly walk and on Tuesday I was 1cm and 80% effaced. It has nothing to do with walking. Just like it has nothing to do with when you'll go into labor.
40w and 5 days and something is happening! Having some contractions every 15 min atm, i hope they persist this time... Yesterday i was 2cm dilated.
39w i was barely a finger, i had hard bellies and gentle contractions (painless). Gyn didn't think i'd make my due date. But i did and i even went beyond lol. Don't despair, baby will come. 1st baby often goes a few days to a week over due date, so nothing abnormal.
I'm also 39 weeks and due Tuesday. I was also disappointed because I feel the same symptoms, but nothing is happening. I feel better now because I understand this baby needs to come when it's ready. I'm exhausted, uncomfortable and in pain contracting but very irregularly and have had 2 sweeps with no results. I've come to terms with the reality that this baby has time still and have learned that only about 4% of babies are born on or before their due date so this is normal. I absolutely don't want induction so I'll cross my fingers for additional patience and that baby will come soon on its own! Good luck ladies and don't be discouraged, we need to trust our bodies. Lots of love and blessings to all :-)
I'm 39 weeks dilated to a 2 but no signs of labor :( I don't want to be induced. I walk a lot too!
I'm in the same boat. I'm 39 weeks and not dilated at all. I'm so depressed and in a lot of pain. Idk wht is going on. I feel like it's close but it obviously isn't :(
