Tubal Ligation

Has anyone thought about or even discussed with you doctor about getting your tubes tied after delivery? I'm seriously considering it but I've  heard so many stories about doctors refusing based on age (I'm  25 this year) that I'm hesitant to bring it up.

I get the being too young part, but the thing is my husband and I are divorcing, and I know I will not ever want to have another child with another man. Too much stress if we break up, then two children  get shipped off to one father and another to another one? No way jose this uterus will be out of business after August! I've tried so many different birth controls and I react really horribly to them. And I wouldn't ever get an IUD because I personally don't  believe in putting stuff like that up there permanently. I've really thought about all my options and at this point I think a tubal would be the way to go.

They offered me a tubal ligation when I was 25 but they try to make sure you have had more than one kid. I was on #3 at that point so they probably thought I was done. Signed the paperwork for it but right before they took me back for my c section I changed my mind. Now were due with #4.

The doc not gonna do it at that age they GONNA say UR too young. U might wanna have more kids later n life and a reversal is very expensive. Mayb U shld try a IUD there's one that last 5 yrs at least U will have that time to decide if U wanted more kids and could just take it out. Talk to the doc bout bc options rather than permenant ones. Good luck
