Being induce increases your risk of a c section
I'm getting induced on Monday more for convenience reasons. My boyfriend drives truck and we wanted to make sure he was here for the birth. My doctor said as long as I am 39 weeks. I will be 39 weeks and 3 days
Oh I see :) in the UK they don't generally induce unless you're very overdue.
Really? Here in the US in hear about people getting induced all the time. I know this girl whose doctor induced her just because she was very uncomfortable I thing she was 39 weeks when she was induced.
With my first born her shoulders got stuck and the nurse had to push down on my belly to help get her out. She was 7 lbs 15 oz at birth and my baby boy at the last ultrasound visit was weighing a little over 7 lbs. My doc was telling me if he was weighing the same or more I would have to get a c section. They are just trying to avoid him getting stuck as well.
It might or might not be... I lost my mucus plug for 2 weeks before going into labor. It depends on your baby and body, good luck.
It might be, but it could also be days away.
Incidentally, why does being induced mean you avoid a c-section?
