Please Please tell me what you think of my hcg level

Hi there, I am 6-7.5 weeks pregnant (my dates say 7.5, scan says 6). My HCG readings have been:

22 April 2300
24 April 8012
28 April 9300
5 May 26320

As you can see they are not doubling right - every 6-7 DAYS?! HELP!? What do you think?

Cheyne xx

Just to update you all - sadly my little one didn't make it. I went for scan yesterday and today and both gave the same results: the baby's heart beat has now stopped. It put up a good fight and its heart kept beating for three weeks after it stopped growing, but it is now at peace. Thank you so much for all your kind comments. All my love and very best wishes to you and yours xxx

Update: i went for the repeat ultrasound scan i had insisted upon today. They told me that the baby's heart is still beating but the pregnancy has failed. The baby has not grown and is behind dates by 3 weeks. The heart beat is very slow. The gestational sac and placenta have continued to grow - causing my hcg levels to rise and maintain the pregnancy - but as soon as the heart has stopped beating my body will recognize that the pregnancy has failed and i will miscarry. They cannot say when this will be - it could be hours. It could be weeks. I am due back for a scan next week to see if the heart has stopped, and if it has they will offer me a d&c, tablets, or the option of letting nature take its course. If not. I don't know. My little baby is still alive in me and his heart is, very slowly, beating. Is there any hope? They don't think so. But is there?
Thankyou so much for all your kind messages and support. They made all the difference and so I haven't felt alone in this. All my best wishes and babydust to you and your little ones xxx

Cheyne-I agree with Mary as far as the numbers being ok.  I was in a similiar situation at my 7 week mark.  Went into the doctors for some spotting and my numbers weren't doubling either, but they were rising.  Had the u/s and saw the baby and the HB.  Now I'm at 10 weeks and baby is lookin great!  I hope that gives you a little bit of peace.  Keep your head up and stay positive.  I'll say prayers for you and happy thoughts.  Keep us posted!  Good luck!

Try not to stress.  I know that is easier said than done.  I've had 2 m/c recently so I understand your fear.  Have you had any more labs drawn since May 5th?  Also, your numbers are still going up so don't give up hope yet.  Good luck and keep me posted after your scan on Thursday.  I'll keep you in my prayers.

Hi MaryAK, my doctor's being very tight lipped. He hasn't appeared positive or negative about it. I am due for a scan this Thursday and he says we'll have to just wait and see what the scan looks like. I'm so scared. I saw the heart beating and the fetal pole on the last scan. I'm so scared its little heart will have stopped.

They look okay to me.  Mine did the same thing and I'm 11 weeks pregnant now.  Mine went up to over 123,000 and we thought it might be twins.  Just one, though!  Your numbers look okay to me.  What does your doctor say?
