When are you guys telling?

I was just wondering when you guys were going to tell your family and friends the big news?.  It's going to be hard to keep it a secret, but I think we are going to wait until the weekend of May 9th. (Mother's Day weekend).  I'll be in my 10th week by then and we will have had our 1st ultrasound.
We usually go out with friends for drinks one night a week, so I hope they don't get too suspicious of all our excuses! haha

Not for ages. I want to be sure everything is fine before I tell anyone, esp. my work. I'm kindof tempted to leave it so long that people start noticing and see who is brave enough/blunt enough to ask outright. I should have a prize ready for the brave soul who first guesses.
If I tell work too early and something happens I feel they will put me in a box off to the side, you know the lesser known career development plan known as "still planning to have a baby"

Take care everyone.

With our first baby we waited a couple of weeks, until we heard the heart beat, which was right before Easter. So during the family gathering for Eater dinner, we had one of our nices play a game of guessing...that's when everybody found out! Now, we just found out we are expecting again (April 6th!)! Easter is just around the corner, so we'll surprise everybody again! This time I'm going tom use two little ballons I still have from my first pregnancy that says "it's a boy" and "it's a girl". I'll place them in a shoe box, and use a gift wrap. Then, we'll say that it's a gift from our son to his grandfather. When he opens, there will be...the two ballons!!! We'll see how it goes....everyone seems to be expecting news from us....so I'm not sure if it will be as big of a surprise as it was with our first...

We told our parents and I told my bff.  Other than that we are going to play it safe and wait for our first ultrasound.

We bought a shirt for DD that says big sister...we're going to put it on her sometime after we hit the 12 week mark and go visiting.  I've had 2 m/c so we are anxious to have an u/s already and get an idea of what's going on!!

I plan on telling on Mother's Day as well.  I will be around 10 weeks then and that way I will have had my u/s and be sure that things are sticking.     I think that I am going to get my daughter (she is 5) to announce it that day, it should be quite a celebration.

I told my sister and one of my friends that has recently had twins (so she could give me pregnancy advice), but everyone else is gonna have to wait until I am 12 weeks - around the first of June.  I don't have family where I live, but we may see my mom and step-dad in mid June, so I'll probably do a combined mothers/father's day thing but make it a "grand" mother/father thing like y'all :-)

I don't mind at all if you use the Mother's (Grandmother's) Day idea. =)
My husband's Mom is going to be SO excited.  She has been waiting for a grandchild for years!  (My parents will be excited too, but they have 5 grandkids, so they aren't as anxious!)

I couldn't keep my mouth shut so I told my sisters right after the confirmation appt. this past Monday.  I had a miscarriage a year and half ago so we're a little hesitant to say anything too soon.  Our next appt. on the 17th so as long as everything is on track we'll tell our parents (although his mom already knows.  We were on vacation with her when I was sicker then a dog and she asked if I could be pregnant) and then wait until the 1st trimester is over to let the news completely out.
