Lillian Faye arrived 1/1/11

Well she finally made it.  Started with very active very intense labor Friday night and my water broke around 7pm.  Spent new years eve laboring and was fully dilated at 5:15am 1/1.  Unfortunately she managed to get her hand and elbow around her own neck so she got stuck in my pelvis.  After 3 hours of pushing we opted to transfer to the hospital  for an epidural and pitocin.  2 more hours of pushing and she arrived at 2:07pm 1/1 :)
a very healthy 8 lbs 7 oz, 21 inches long.

So glad to hear that she is here and all is well, sorry about the plan change- but Serendipity (an unfortunate blessing) is a wonderful thing!!

OMG!! I am so happy for you! I'm sorry you had to go to the hospital and get pitocin, but it was needed and ended well. What a great birthday! Great size and weight! I am just so happy for you. Welcome, Lillian Faye!
