She was born via planned c-section at 11:14am, 7lbs 15oz and 19" long... I will update more about my painful story and her a bit later, I am so exhausted!!

She is here, beautiful and a quiet cryer. =) This is one happy mommy.

We went to the Dr on Wednesday and had no changes in progress.. only 1cm dilated, thining cervix, but baby MarLea was still too high. So we scheduled a c-section for Friday 1/7/11 at 11am.

I checked into the hospital where my mother, father and step-mom, best friend and my husband all joined me. The came in to discuss admissions, start an IV and talk about prior c-section history/anesthesia history.

The IV was placed and instantly hurt- the pain was like I had already been bruised, then flicked where teh bruise was. At 10:30am I walked back to the OR. There they stuck me what seemed like 7 times for local anesthesia prior to putting the spinal tube. I cried on the first stick... again it hurt so bad. I still cant believe some people opt to have them too early in labor or request repeat c-sections.

After I was laid down from the epidural, I got a sick feeling instantly- nausea was overwhelming and the dizziness. I was so ready to fall a sleep just in hopes that it all would go away when I woke!!  Once the midwife and Dr finally showed up the surgery went fast.. I had to keep reminding my self to inhail and exhail. at 11:14am MarLea Rose arrived and had a quiet healthy cry. APGAR scores 8 - 9 - 9!! She was perfect in color, no cheesey look and no mechonium.

We are over joyed to have her here, but still a little scared about the genetic testing they still have to do. She has 3 skin tag like things by her right ear and they are concerned about her growth/development with her ears. We will know more results tomorrow hopefully, then have to follow up witha  specialst later on. As of now she is latching on to both boobs with a shield and I keep pumping each time after I fee her.

In addition to the ears, they tested her kidneys and those were good, they checked her heart for a small murmer they detected and found two very common small holes- but they should heal on their own.

She is healthy- but we still dont know what has cause the ear thing and or if she's going to have hearing issues.

I have only got about 3hrs of sleep each night- but hoping to get a nap in soon.

TTYL- hope my sleepy babble above makes sense. LOL

Yay, CarLea!! So happy that MarLea is finally here in mommy's arms. I'm sorry to hear your experience was painful. I guess us later term moms all had a rough delivery. But as happynifer  said, it's all worth it! We have beautiful, healthy girls. Yippee and happy birthday MarLea Rose!
