I'm up 15 pounds at 23 weeks with twins. Based on my BMI and twins the weight gain recommendations report I should have gained 25 pounds by now (ultimately 40... wow), so I guess it is actually low even though I feel big as a house! That being said, I'm really petite and both babies measure in the 75th percentile (yikes!). It's all in my belly. I have no idea how it could possibly stretch anymore... but NO DOUBT it will. OB is concerned about cervical pressure, as there just isn't much room in there. I have been on house rest from the very beginning due to some complications, and have recently turned eating into a competitive sport. Vanity and habit tell me to exercise (even though it is out of the question for this pregnancy), but their birthweight and health is way more important than my pant size right now. So I guess here is to hoping for successful breastfeeding, among other things to get me down to size after!
22 weeks 5 days - 4-5 pounds total - had problems gaining weight until week 16 but have been putting a little on here and there - Baby Olivia Lynn looked good for her 20 week ultrasound so not worried!
I guess if your overweight before becoming pregnant you tend to gain less. I was about 11-12lbs lighter than I normally am when I found out I was 4 weeks preg because I was going through a break-up with my baby's daddy :(
That might be why I've gained a total of 19lbs since then but i don't like to count the extra 10lbs I would have gained back anyways even if I wasn't preg.
sounds like we are same same :)
makes me feel good im not way off base !
I'm 21 weeks and at my 20 week appointment I was up 14lbs. I was not one of the luck ones that went negative first, I just started gaining!!
At my dr appt on Monday (at 21wks5days) I gained a total of 22 pounds. I feel like I am right on target. I only gained 3 pounds the 3 months. So I estimated I should gain 8-10 pounds a month after that. I read I should gain 45-50 pds with twins.
