August updates!

What are all of our December Babies doing?

Lexi just turned 8 months old on the 9th! Can you believe it? I know I can't, I feel like I just gave birth to her! She started crawling at 6 1/2 monts, and at 7 1/2 months she started pulling herself up and standing. Now she stands up and holds on to something with one hand (occasionally two) and she will take a few steps closer to what she's holding on to, and twice she's walked along the edge of the couch! This is too fast, IMO! I just know once she starts walking, I'm going to have a good cry.

She has her two bottom teeth now, and they're just so cute! She's so small that when she stand up it looks crazy to me. She's just so little that it seems unreal that she has the strength to stand up, and I'm sort of scared that she's going to be an early walker. It wouldn't be a bad thing, I would just have to admit that she's growing up, and I'd like to squish her back down. Lol.

lillian turned 8 months on 9/1 and is growing like a weed.  she eats a large variety of solids by herself (basically whatever i am eating as long as it is not too high in salt), but is still breastfed as well.  she has 6 teeth and is working on 4 more already.
had her first dentist appt on friday and did great.
she pulls herself up to stand and can stand holding onto things, but hasn't crawled yet,  she can crawl backwards, but hasn't figured out forwards yet,  looks like she may walk before she crawls....
still a big girl at >98 percentile height and head size.
she says mama and dada generally in the right context, as well as a version of kitty that is consistent everytime a cat comes by
we have another 6 weeks until her 9 month checkup,,,,

We will be 8 months at the end of the week. Z just started crawling on Sunday night. She does not like to stand; I actually took her to the doctor and they said there are no problems, she'll do it on her own time. Z is more interested in using her hands, trying to talk and imitating us. She waves hello and goodbye. She claps when we sing, "pat-a-cake." She kisses. She signs for food and when she wants to be picked up. She is very into toys now and will play for hours on the floor: transferring toys from hand-to-hand, playing her toy piano, stacking rings and rolling her ball back and forth with us. Her weight has leveled out a bit (she weighs 18 pounds and went from the 95 to the 70th percentile). She is still very tall (99th percentile), and sadly she often gets only one wear out of her clothes. She is eating lots of solids, although we still have yet to introduce meats and dairy. We tried Puffs, but she developed hives within four days. Her doc said it could be an allergy to the Puffs or it could be a virus. I am sooo hoping for the virus; a gluten allergy would not be fun.

Best of luck to those of you trying to get pregnant again! We would love another baby, but this is our miracle child and she was our last shot at pregnancy via IVF. We are so darn lucky and plan to have lots of furry siblings for her.

LOL @ "squish her back down"!!!

Aubryana turned 8 months on the 7th. She started crawling around at about 7 months, and shortly after started pulling up to stand, and now she'll let go with one or both hands (but she's leaning against whatever it is so she doesn't stand on her own yet). She's saying mama and bah bah, she said ow one time and said uh oh a couple minutes later. If you tell her to say dada she says bah bah, and will say mama when we say it. She's still toothless, which doesn't surprise me her big brother didn't get his first two until he was 11 months old, and her ped said she may be the same way.

PS...all you ladies saying it's flying by way too fast, wait til you have another one, I swear it's going by twice as fast this time around!!!
