Darn it, I lost another pound.. -6lbs as of today.
BP 116/75 (normal)
HR 156
Measuerment 36weeks (right on track)
Hemogloben 12.4 (perfect since anything over 10 is great)
GBS Test.. wait 1 week for results
Cervex was way to high to check for dilation.. midwife stopped half way and said you dont want me to check it- it will be painful.
I may get my wish afterall and have MarLea in January!!
I'll be 38 weeks this Friday! Things are going well, baby is staying pretty active during the day and is letting me sleep at night (: finally! I have gained 16 pounds in total :/ and I have been having lots of discharge lately which doctor said was pretty normal. I'm going to have a c-section December 10th, that's already next week! 8 days to go & can't wait! Hope to hear some good news on some of you ladies next Wendsday, your all in my thoughts and prayers! (:
Well turns out the NP in OB that I saw was full of it, and didn't know her rear from a hole in the ground. Everything is still looking good for a VBAC. My dr suggested I not go into labor until Sunday night at 10 because she went out of town after work yesterday and won't be back on shift until then, BUT if I do I should still be able to attempt the VBAC, even without the consult. SO apparently OB needs to get their stuff straight.
I'm sure you are excited to see your girls and super uncomfortable at this point. But not delivering the twins prematurely is a GREAT thing. Being in a NICU is so stressful, and it's wonderful that you've avoided that thus far.
Keep up the good work!
Really exciting to read how close everyone is getting! We are almost there...
Almost 38 weeks, and it still seems surreal to me that my due date is only about 2 weeks away! I can't wait to see my baby girl and time seems to go by very slowly to me. I've been feeling these pains in the vicinity of my belly button but not sure what they mean...
I have pretty much everything I need for the baby, but the room is not completely finished and this is stressing me out exceedingly. Whatever I have to do, I'm going to get everything done by the end of this weekend, I guess more for my own peace of mind than anything else. I have my Dr appt on Friday and hopefully this time she'll check if I'm dilated.
37weeks 2days.
This baby is so ready to be born. At 36w6d I was 2cm dialated and cervix has moved to the front. Midwifes performed a bit of a stretch and sweep with no result. I am having cramping and contractions for a few days but nothing excruciating or consistant. I have kept loosing bits of my plug (TMI) but oh my god I did not realise how much of it there was. We have started bd daily trying to get this child on the move with the advice of my midwife. Still having loose bowls, have a bit of a cold, tired, very sore nipples, heartburn and just generally moving between excitement that bub may be here soon and grumpiness that it is not here.
He gals... 36weeks here, still hoping she holds out the full 32days- to have me a January baby girl- but either way I am excited to meet her!!!
Since visiting the Chiropractor 3x a week- No more hip/pelvic pains, on a rare occation- she gets in a funny position and causes a pinching like pain by the cervex, but usually after moving positions it goes away. The back pain is still there- but I am freaking huge, so what else to expect!!
The main swelling I get is barely around the ankles and some in my hands over night- otherwise no complaints here... I am just enjoying each day and telling my self I will make it the next four weeks with out an trouble and have a successful VBAC!
smjmekg - I cant believe just now they are trying to consult you into a surgeon who may say yes to the VBAC.. I had to do that right away at 12 weeks!! The only thing is there is one DR at my office who is not pro-vbac, but my midwife said she would just call another DR from the office who would allow me to have my wishes if everything is going well. So thankful for the wonderful midwife I got- she has been so informative and willing to answer my questions even if my appointment takes an hour. I wish you much luck and hope you get your way!!
I have an appointment tomorrow and the GBS test.. I may have her check the cervex while she is there and see if anything is happening. Otherwise- we wait and see!
I again will come back and do a Thursday update =D
Also of the 12 people pregnant #3 had her baby girl today- I unfortunatly was at work, so missed the birth but she is a healthy 7lbs 13oz! My SIL is next on Friday.. then me after that!
Yeah, DH only gets one day off. :( I talked to him about it today and he said it was no big deal that he would still put in for friday and if it looked like I was going to deliver before he gets off to just call him and he'd just leave early. I figure that even though right now I'm only at 2cm dilated that even if I get induced in the morning I won't have her before sometime that evening. But, even if I do, I'm glad that he'll just leave and take a point. He gets a freebie anyways that he hasn't used, so I'm hopeful it'll all work out.
Hello Ladies- I too am not having a great week. I'm exactly two weeks from having my c-section and it's not soon enough. I also got something like food poising during Thanksgiving and now I can't keep any food in my system. Everything goes right thru me. I had lab work done yesterday. I have an NST and OB appointment tomorrow so hopefully I get my results. I now run to the bathroon twice as much as I did before. The good thing is that the twins are not affected by this.
I started having daily conrtactions since last Friday. They are getting stronger each day. Not strong enough for a visit to L&D.
I have everything ready for the girls arrival just need to cook and freeze some food for us to eat. I hope to do that this weekend.
I hope everyone has a healthy week. Btw- I believe I'm the last twim mommie "to be" left - everyone else has delivered, so happy for them and jealous at the same time. So I will also be the only twin mommie from the original December board that actually delivers in December. :-(
38 weeks. So I have now been at 3.5cm and 70% for TWO weeks! I go to the doctor again on Friday. Let's hope something has changed. Feeling pretty good actually. Not much pain or discomfort. My feet and ankles are swollen all the time now so I am not happy about that. Otherwise just counting the days, relaxing and enjoying time with the kids.
smjmekg - can you get ahold of the hospital's on-call schedule? When I had my first, my doctor gave it to me. That way I could try to stay home longer or come in earlier depending upon the doctor and which one I liked. Just a thought.
NicoleW09- are you the one where you DH only gets one day off? I hope that Thursdays induction works quickly for you.
nj_mom - I went into preterm labor at 32 weeks and here I am 38 weeks and going crazy!
i will be full term on saturday!
yippee :)
my ankles are swollen, my pubic symphysis has separated causing lots of pain and i want to do not much more than lay around all day until i go into labor.
4 more shifts at work to get through first though...
starting acupuncture on Monday and herbs in an attempt to coax her out a bit early since she is 90th percentile and my pelvis is killing me.
just getting ready to meet my baby girl :)
Sorry to hear you guys are having a tough time...
Almost 37 weeks, which is a huge milestone. Being high risk for preterm labor, I cannot believe I will be considered full-term in 2 days. I am so freakin' psyched to have made it this far! Although everything is done--nursery finished, clothes washed, safety seat certified, extra meals in the freezer--I still don't fully believe I am going to have a baby. Wow!!
Ultrasound yesterday showed Baby is 6.5 pounds and looks a lot like Winston Churchill :) Still no clue if we're having a boy or a girl--so grateful to my ultrasound techs for keeping this a secret over the past 9 months. Have my weekly OB appt / NST tomorrow morning. I seemed to have turned a corner on Thanksgiving weekend, where I am suddenly really uncomfortable. My fingers are like sausage links and I keep dropping things. By the end of the day, my ankles are huge (even though I sit at a desk for work) and I've started to waddle. I have constant pressure on my bladder which is only alleviated when I sit on the edge of my seat; a position which kills my back. When Baby moves around, there are times when it actually hurts now. But of course, I wouldn't trade one second of this for anything in the world. I love it.
My last day at work is 12/10. I have a BlackBerry for my job, so I'm sure I won't be cutting all ties that quickly. It will be interesting to see what happens over the next 6 months of my maternity leave; will I really be able to ignore the office? Something tells me when I catch my first glimpse of Baby's face, I won't care about my office or my BlackBerry anymore!
Continued best wishes to all!
I had my 37w appt today and I've already started spotting from my cervix exam. Last week I was 1cm on the outside and 2 on the inside, now I'm two both ways. I'm still super nauseated and tired. GBS was negative I've got like 15 days until my induction, and I sorta feel like it can't come fast enough. I'm ready to meet my little girl and get back to feeling like myself. I'm kind of mad that my midwife said we would induce on Friday the 17th (my EDD) and then today said that she doesn't work on fridays so we're doing it on Thursday the 16th. I'm glad DH didn't put in his request for a day off yet because we're going to have to talk about how we're going to do it. I feel increasingly stressed out. I haven't finished packing my bags yet, my car is back in the shop, I need to put the carseat in DH's car. For some reason I'm just super annoyed today. I think it's time to go back to bed for a nap or something. lol.
