I have only lost weight, so hopefully the delivery holds off a while longer.. no swelling so far that I have noticed other than a little bit in my hands. Mainly cause I clinch them at night and used them all day at work on a computer.
Yea c-sections are not always easy to recover from-- so good luck, hope you dont have much pain and NO infections. Sweats are a good idea... I had to make my son's father go home and get me clothes to wear.
We like to call my feet the Stay Puft Marshmallow feet and my legs are now my tree trunks, lol!!
Caralea- Thank you! I'm getting pretty excited about it all. They moved the appt to Nov 27th, a day later so not much of a difference, but it will be a Saturday, which I thought was kinda weird.
You make a very good point about wearing jeans after a C-section. I totally didn't think about that because I've never had one before. I will probably wear sweatpants home, and for a while, then. I'm so glad you mentioned it!
Angelbaby- I'm sorry that you're having crazy swelling, too. It's kinda nice to have someone to commiserate with, though. I showed my 9 year old daughter the swelling and what happens when you press on my feet and she thought it was the most hilarious and fun thing in the world. It's so funny what kids will think is great. It's good to have fun with it and not take it too seriously because there's really nothing cool about having big, puffy, feet and legs.
I've heard that you lose weight when you're close to delivery so it will be interesting to see if any of us go into labor right after a weight loss.
Thanks! You as well :o) This is new to me, I always gain sooooo much during pg, so I'm glad for it lol. 20 lbs lower right now than at this stage with both of my last ones!
Up down roller coaster, that is what I am on.. each time I have gained weight I loose at least half of it the next visit.
Good luck with your baby and delivery.
I am 34 weeks and it all depends on what start weight I go from. I have put on 13.5 from where I was aroung the time of conception. But I continued to lose weight during the first trimester. At my 30 week appointment my doc didn't seem too concerned, but not thrilled either, about my low weight gain. But it was enough to make her want an ultrasound to make sure baby was on track for weight (boy, was she: 71st percentile). After that I must say I have indulged quite a bit in my eating...I showed that doc and put on 10 pounds in two weeks lol. Today I went back, and (despite my piggish eating hehe) I lost four of those pounds.
