swollen ankles?

mine have gotten pretty swollen the past several days.
i was thinking of buying compression socks, but there are so many on the market i don't know where to start...
my midwife today said standing in a pool can help quite a bit so i am getting a membership this weekend.
anyone else dealing with this yet?

i'm a surgeon, so not really an option....
the pool did help decrease the swelling after work today, so i'll try to do that regularly after work.
and maybe the heat wave will break eventually :)

Is there any way you can get off your feet at work any?  The compression socks sound a lot better than compression panty hose!  I'm sure the hose are terribly uncomfortable in the heat.
The joys of being pregnant in the summer.  I had them at the end with both of my pregnancies, but it was definetly worse at the end when I was pregnant with my son in August in Florida!

Well try to get off them as often as possible. I was a waitress when I was pregnant with my son, and was constantly swollen from the knee down. PLUS I ended up having to quit at 25 weeks because I was having a lot of braxton hicks contractions, and I had a jerk for a assistant manager, that's a whole other story. BUT at least make sure you're drinking enough water!

Yep, try to stay off your feet, and keep them elevated. Drink water, and stay out of the heat if you can. Mine went away after a couple days.
