Anyone have the NT appointment scheduled?

Just thought i would check in on all you ladies. So how are things going? Has anyone had their NT scan done yet? Who is still waiting for the appointment? I have mine scheduled for this friday at 12:30 and was told it will be a long appointment. I also have to have counseling because i tested positive for cystic fibrosis carrier. I just cant wait to see my baby again!

I am not doing the NT scan as we would not abort or change much & I think it would just stress us out even more.  My husband & I agree completely on this, though would love to see Baby G again, so we are okay with not doing the test.  I can understand why others do have it done though so I am not judging at all, just saying I am in the same boat as some other girls on here.  Our next u/s won't be until around the 1st week of August & we will (hopefully) find out the gender!  Hubby SO wants a baby girl I think even though we both said we'd like to have a boy for our first child...he's so cute!  Praying for all good results for you ladies!

I had my scan done about a week and a half ago at 12.5 weeks.  Everything 'looks great' the Dr said :) very relieved.  We got to see the little one moving around which was truly amazing (this is my first!) The nuchal fold measurement and the bloodwork all came back normal. AND as an added bonus my sickness has subsided!!  Thank goodness.

I've just received my NT results in the post:

CR - 61.7mm
NT - 1.9mm
Free Beta-hCG - 55.06 IU/l     1.32 MoM
PAPP-A - 3.136 IU/l     0.79

Trisomy 21 background risk - 1:1363      adjusted risk - 1:6977

Summary: NOT at increased risk

Whoop!  Although they put me down as 12w4d, which has given me another new EDD of 15 Dec!

Anyone else had their results?  I had to search the internet to figure out what the results actually mean.  Good luck all!

I'm going for my NT scan tomorrow at 1pm.
I did this for my last few babies cuz I really wanted to see them (ultasound junkie lol)

I went to see midwife today and we wernt able to hear baby's heartbeat with doppler!
So I really need to see and hear baby to make sure all is doing fine!

Well if my doctor changes my edd based on my NT scan then im 13 weeks today! I wont have another scan till my anatomy but i know it will be between 18-20 weeks. So glad were both doing well!

i cant wait either....i should find out what im having at the beginning of july but i want it confirmed at my anatomy scan at the end of july

the tech told me that they could start guessing with more comfort around 15 weeks....11 weeks today....so glad the first trimester is almost behind us :)

Im not sure if your doctor would do it or not. As for me i had to go to the genetics center for it to be done and will have results in 7 to 10 days. So glad everyone is doing well. I cant wait to find out what we are having!

glad to hear all is well with the babies....i believe my doc will do the nt scan for my twins on thurs when i go for my next u/s

i will be just about 12 weeks so im not sure if its too early yet

my regular ob said that the goal is 34 weeks which means that my babies could come in nov or dec but my gut is saying very end of nov...we shall see....i hope i make it to 36 and dec but with my history its kind of a grim hope i think

Yeah i dont want a Christmas or new year baby either. I also dont want baby to come on 12/11 or 12/19 as those are other family members birthday. Oh i hope hubby gets home in time for you as well. I dont think ill ever go late with a pregnancy since my first tried to come at 35 weeks. Then my second did come at 33w5d! Im also not sure if my doctor will officially change my due date to the 17th though.

Ooo, we're due the same day then (although, by my last scan it could be 16 Dec, but it's only one day!)  Just hoping that my hubby gets back from Afghan on time and that we're not early...although dont want a Christmas or New Year's Eve baby either!!  Ha ha. ;-)

Well ladies my NT scan went great and so did the counseling. I am a one gene mutation CF carrier which gives a 1/100 chance of baby having CF. This is an average with out testing df for CF, since the test is $650! Men with CF are infertile, so that's obviously not the case, and if he did have 1 gene mutation the chance would be 1/50. Every baby born in the state of California is tested for it at birth so im not worried. Baby measured 12w6d not 12w1d which gave a new edd of 12/17, so i hope doctor changes it. Just shows i had a slow grower at first because by my lmp my edd should be 12/14!

i ma 15 wks now and I did the IPS testing at 12 weeks.  No abnormalities so thats a good thing.  I have my next prenatal visit next wed adn i'll be able to book next ultrasound so i can find out gender :)  yay

Totally over these darn food aversions and waking up sick in the middle of the night! On the bright side NT scan is in 2hrs and cant wait to see baby again. I pray all goes well and everything looks great!

I am doing the NT scan on Friday 6/10 at 1:30!  I am not too worried about it.  I am just excited to be able to see the baby again :)  I am not going to let it stress me whatsoever.  I never did the scan with my first 2 kids but decided to do it this time around.

I'm not doing the NT either but my dr. said we will do another ultrasound at my 12 week check up on June 17th to check on my huge ovaries and say hello to baby!  My OB has been really supportive of me going through IVF and all the complications I had with it so I think she is just being nice and just wants to peek that the ovaries are starting to shrink back to normal after all they have been through.  I have never done any of the testing for abnormalities with any of my children and it has saved me some stress but I know I stress about things anyway:)   I can't wait till next Friday to check in on my little one.   This has been a long stretch with no appointments so I am starting to get a little nervous that everything is OK still.  I'm still really nauseous so I'm trying to let that reassure me that baby is fine.  Anyone else still a little nervous between appointments?

Talked to my Dr. today and was getting ready to schedule with her when she told me she didn't have it done with her first child.  That made me realize I was initially only doing it thinking it would please my physician and once I found out she didn't have it done then I changed my mind.  I will do the blood work at 16 weeks but that is it.  I would not abort because my DH wouldn't want that so I feel the one test will be good enough for me to help prepare.

I never had the NT scan with my 2 boys because my insurance at the time did not cover it. I will not do amnio or abort if anything is abnormal. I just see it as another chance to see baby and doctor would like for me to do it. Yes df has to be a cf carrier for baby to have the 50/50 chance of having it. Although im only a 1 gene carrier and not 2 gene which lowers it even more. Doctor said i have to be sent out because it did come back positive. I find it weird because ive never been told i was with any other pregnancy. Im just really excited to get the chance to see baby again!

Had my NT today, hubby wanted it, I didn't (except to see baby again).  We'll get results back in 10 days apparently - even if it says we're high risk, we wont do amnio due to risks.

It's good in some ways to prepare for the possibility, but I think sometimes it's just a way to find something else to stress about!  Damn technology!!

i believe your hub would have to be a carrier as well for CF....i hope everyting is ok

i will have my NT but i am not sure when....i know that my babies will be here after thanksgiving beginning of dec but my next u/s is june 17 so maybe they will check then

I decided against the NT scan. Does sound tempting just to be able to see the baby again though! That stinks to know you're a cf carrier but it has to be true of your partner too right? And then there's just a chance. At my first baby's ultrasound there were two indicators that said he may very well be a down's baby. He wasn't! It's nice to know ahead of time but don't let it overtake you. They only know statistics which are very helpful but your baby will be just perfect for you:)
