I haven't gone shopping yet, I'm only 14 weeks now and my clothes still fit but with my other 2 pregnancies I had a lot of luck just buying bigger sized flowy shirts in the regular women's departments of the normal stores I shop at and then I got a couple good pairs of jeans at Motherhood (they seemed to fit the best and not fall down as much as the Old Navy ones did). I work part time so I do have to dress up but a lot of my skirts have elastic waistbands so I think I'll be able to wear them for quite awhile. I will probably have to pick up a couple things in the fall when I get really big! I think I'll get one of those belly bands to extend the wear of my pants and shorts though. I like a lot of Old Navy's maternity stuff because it is cheap and I don't feel like I'm spending a fortune for clothes I won't wear for long.
Dang it, I live in Kansas City. There isn't one of those anywhere around here. I love places like Motherhood and JC Penny but I hate paying more than 20 bucks on any item I am only going to where for a few months. I went to a consignment shop and bought 5 nice working shirts, and two necklaces for 52 bucks this weekend. I was pretty excited about that. I think I got most of everything but some tanks to go under shirts and some leggings for a dress. I looked at walmart online tonight and they have some great basics.
I just went shopping for maternity clothes on Friday. I found some great items at Ross. I found tons of nice casual wear, but they also had business casual as well. Since I'm a teacher I have wear the business casual clothes so I was very pleased with what I found there. I came out of the store spending $134 but got 6 tops, 3 jean capris, two business casual capris/shorts, and a pair of slacks. I have to say, I had a great time!
Good Luck to you! : )
