Sure, especially later in pregnancy. The baby begins to brace his legs against your ribs and push. I had a girlfriend whose baby broke her rib that way. Take some added calcium to help your bones stay strong. (And if you're taking calcium, take Vitamin D to go along with it.)
Yeah unfortunately it's just part of pregnancy lol. My right side of my ribs hurt so bad sometimes that I can't breathe. The only thing that helps me is lay down and stretching out as hard as I can. I also use bengay cream/muscle relief and it helps alot. =)
My right side ribs have hurt since 2nd trimester. My chiropractor said it's from the weight of baby and uterus pulling on the muscles. My baby is breech so she's not pushing on them, but that happens also.
