It's a girl!!

I am a ftm & 20 weeks. I had my ultrasound yesterday & found out I'm having a girl! I'm filled with so much emotion yet feel like it hasn't sunk in yet. 90% of ppl I know thought I was having a boy so it had me convinced that I was. Finding out that I'm actually having a girl makes me both happy but sad since my heart was so set on a boy. I'm still happy I'm having a girl but referring it as a "her" sounds so strange to me since for 20 weeks I referred it as a "he". Has anyone else gone through this? How did u deal with it & when did u finally accept it?

When i found out i was expecting i wanted a girl so bad. But for whatever reason i just felt it was a boy. It didnt matter how much my family and i wanted a girl, i couldnt stand when people said she because i knew he was a he. And i was right. The whole being pregnant hasnt completely sunk in let alone if its a boy or girl. But it will. And its ok. Everything will be fine and when she gets here youre not even gonna care that you wanted a boy because shes going to be the most perfect princess. Congratulations.

Thank u for ur advice. I'm finding it easier day by day. I'm actually really happy & I'm getting more excited now that I'm having a girl. I guess it shouldn't matter what sex it is. The fact that I'm blessed with this beautiful gift is wonderful enough news.
