And I would not recommend trying to pop it with a needle yourself as it is dangerous, because the infection could get into your blood stream.
I get pilonidal cysts, which is basically a boil right near the tailbone and BOY are they painful. Honestly, going to the hospital never helps me when I get them. They always just put you on antibiotics, want to poke it, or recommend surgery. All of which, in my opinion, are unnecessary. Definitely do the hot compresses 3 to 4 times a day. Buy some castor oil and heat it up and hold it on the boil for about 20 to 30 minutes. Frequently wash the area and make sure it is dry. Wear loose clothing. And what REALLY has helped my skin cyst/boil to heal and never come to a head is eating about a teaspoon of tumeric in hot water with lemon (like a tea) once a day for as long as it takes for the boil to go down and reduce in pain. I started seeing results within 2 to 3 days. Relief! There are those whoo say that tumeric is dangerous or something? during pregnancy, but IN MY OPINION, it's harmless and a real healer.
I just read the other day that if you take a thick slice of and onion and lay it on there it will help to dry it up. Idk it that will work or not. I get them under my boo or righy around my panty line on the inside of my thigh. Those hurt so bad. I always end up putting a bandaid on them to easy the pain lol.
Honey I'm going through the same thing I constantly get boils. I HATE IT. I just had 3 under one boob and 2 under the other. One got the size of a golf ball, boy did I feel like I was dying. Only thing I did was put hot towels on them. 2 of them finally bust I finally had some relief. I can't believe after 3 days it's still leaking smh I hope your situation ends better than mine did
This is what my doctor told me cuz i get soo many at once. He said i never recommended this but in ur case im telling u to. Use sanitizer on the area and then the tip of a needle light with a lighter for a few secs then sanitize that the pop the boil once everything is out sanitize again to make sure it dont get infected this does wonders
I would still go to the doctor for it. It could be staph and you don't want that to get into your blood stream and effect the baby and you. It's best to let them handle it. I hope you get some relief.
You can put a hot towel on it, so it comes to a head and pop it yourself because at the hospital they won't numb it just cut it open and put packing in it which will take a much longer time to heal. But if you want you can soak in a bath with a little Epsom salt and it might pop and drain on it's own, if you do it with a towel you'll still have to drain it by hand which hurts a hell of a lot
