Sweep and 1cm dilated.

So I went for my appointment today I'm 40 + 2 the doctor did a sweep OOOOWWWWW!!  He didn't even warn me.  Any who since I've had it done I've been leaking a little more and TMI but had a really loose bowel and having some contractions but not painful.  Has anyone else had a sweep and it not work?  I'm hoping maybe I'll go into labor tonight....then I'll be home for Christmas with my little bundle (would be the best present ever!!)  otherwise I'm being induced Monday I think I made the doctor worry after I told him the size of the babies on both my side and my husbands side.  9-11lbers. Lol.

I haven't had any dilation or effacement. I am hoping for better news tomorrow. I'm also going to request a sweep. Crossing my fingers for good news tomorrow. If he isn't here by this weekend I'm going to ask to be induced monday.

Haha I see my doc again on Wed too...small world except I'm going for the Bio Physical Profile and Non Stress test just to make sure we don't have to go sooner.  Then I go see the doc to discuss everything that will happen from there in out.  GL to you as well!

I'm being induced on Monday also! My last appt I wasn't dilated at all but 50% effaced. I see my doc again on Wednesday, really hoping I'm at least 1 cm dilated so he can do a membrane sweep. I really would love to go into labor naturally before Monday! Good luck to you!

I'm 39 weeks. Had my sweep today. 2cm dilated and 80% effaced. Contractions just started. Very irregular, but definitely more painful than I thought they would be. Ftm.
