Pelvic twinges, are they normal?

I am 8 weeks pregnant and last night I felt a very sharp twinge in my pelvic area. It might be TMI but I was having intercourse when it happened. We stopped but I continued to have shorter and less painful twinges. I've been feeling some strange but smaller twinges inside my vagina. Is this something I should be really concerned about as I am or is it normal?

Totally normal. Your ligaments are stretching and reshaping. You'll get them now and then all the way through your pregnancy.

Thank you! I did go to the Dr and she said the same thing, that ligaments are streching and that it's normal. I appreciate your answers.

Like lighting crotch? Does it feel like a sharp zap? I was having a lot of those and thought they were normal but I actually had a UTI. Might be worth it to go drop off a urine sample at your doctor's office just to be safe.
