I've been giving my baby a pacifier since she was 3 days old and she has no problem with distinguishing it from a boob. She also started taking a bottle when she was two weeks old so that my dh can feed her. Still no problems...
My son had no problem with boob, paci and bottle either. No confusion whatsoever.
I guess it depends on the baby?
yea sorry thats what we call them in england, yea i think i have an "evil boob" too lilly likes one more than the outher its strange
When you say dummy, are you talking about a pacifier? I think a pacifier confused Annabelle when she was first learning to breastfeed, but now that she's got it figured out, it doesn't seem to be a problem.
Our only real problem is that she strongly prefers one booby over the other; I have had the HARDEST time getting her to take the "evil boob", as we call it around here.
