changed her name

Baby girl's name is changed.  Her father had some input.  We've put it as Michaela Gabrielle, Min Geng Clark.  Chinese name and English name.  Min is the light of an autumn/winter morning, Geng is a character meaning metal, to give her balance in her name according to her Chinese horoscope. Michaela is after my father Michael who died 2 1/2 years ago, Gabrielle is just cause I like that name.

she's very bright and active and doing very well. I'm also recovering well and the pain is much better.  I'll post my birth story in my journal in the next day or so and some photos too.  she's drinking very well.

Am so pleased and happy that she's come out healthy and looking very very normal.  Exciting years ahead.  Will keep checking in on everyone.

Thank you so much for sharing this special time with me.

The name is perfect.  Michaela is a beautiful first name.  I like the Min in her name and what it stands for.  How beautiful.

I can't wait to see pictures of Michaela.  I hope that you are getting some rest, because for sure you won't be getting much when you get home.  Babies are like that.  LOL

I am so glad that your dream has come true, Sally.  You've been a tropper through the whole thing.

Big Mommie Hugs,
Heather

Congrats!  We are naming our daughter Mikayla also, but obviously with different spelling.  Part of why we are spelling it the way we are, is because my husband's family is Spanish and with this spelling they won't pronounce it different (I wanted to make sure that his family would pronounce it the same as my family).  If we spelled it Michaela they would pronounce it like Mee-kai-aye-la and we just want Mi-kay-la.  Best of luck to you and your baby!
