January Updates
A day early....but wanted to make out post for our January updates ladies!!!
Can you believe that some of our little ones are almost a year old already....wholy moly!! the time is surely flying by faster than I can keep up!!!
Sarah is bravely taking steps on her own, but not fully walking yet. She is full of herself. She says Da Da and Ma Ma (Na na is what she says) and she is doing great! She either takes one long nap during the day or two shorter ones, depending on when the first one starts.
Always has slept through the night and is just a joy.
I have less than 7 weeks left til my scheduled February 16th c-section. Hoping to make it to that day. I will be 38w6d then. Protein levels are extremely high by BP has been stable...so we are just watching things. Hope all is well with everyone, updated when you have a minute!

Lucy is turning one on the 21st Jan! She is just getting her second tooth (DH has named the first one Sharpie and the 2nd Crunch) and she eats so much food that sometimes I worry that she will be sick! Still breastfeeding, but down to 3 feeds a day. Almost walking (I think she could if she wasn't scared of not holding onto things). Lucy was 8.9kg/19.6lbs last time I weighed her- need to do that again..
Talking heaps, she says- mum, dad, Seth, Puss, duck, cuddles, hello, hi, bye, yay, wow (her favourite), no, oh no, night night, and more.
I am loving my time with her knowing that soon I'll have to divide my attention between her and the next one. That worries me a little as I haven't had two close in age before. With a bit of luck she won't feel too jealous or like she has been replaced.. :(

Michaela had her 12 month check up today (though she's 11 1/2 months). She weights 20 lbs (9.1 kg) has head circumference of 49 cm (19.3 inches) and height of 80 cm (31.5 inches). So she is tall and slim.
She's nearly walking but not quite. She can stand by herself and walk if she holds my hand, take a few steps by herself, but prefers to crawl.
Her main food is still breastmilk. But she gets fruits, veges and meats. Whatever I'm having that's suitable for her (but no eggs, dairy, or sweets). I also don't give her white bread or white rice.
SHe babbles a lot, but her only word stiull is mamma and Arf (for dogs).
Our babies are growing so fast!

Well, Sarah is walking..its official...and so darn cute!
Went to doc yesterday bc she had a bad rash from diarrhea that wouldnt go away...ended up being a double diaper rash/yeast infection.
Weight is currently 22 lbs 10 oz

Nathan is 11 months on the 7th!!! I cannot believe how fast it went. He is 20 lbs exactly, and has slimmed out. He eats whatever we are eating, last night he had steak, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, and a little asparagus. I am giving him 1-2 (4oz ea) sippy cups full of whole milk a day, trying to wean him off formula. He holds the small sippy cups himself. He has taken to it well, and sleeps all night. He goes down between 8-830, then wakes up between 730-8. Great sleeper now...those teeth gave us problems, then he got spoiled. He had to cry it out a few nights. He has 4 teeth, 2 on top, 2 on bottom. He takes 2 naps a day or one long one, just depends on when he goes down.
He is crawling all over, pulls himself up...he has stood by himself and crossed from table to coach without holding on, but he doesn't realize it yet. He says Mama, Dada, Hot, and his favorite no, but sounds more like "nao, nao". He says "Hi" after we do, and waves with both hands
( too Cute). He got his first haircut on Sunday...it was in his eyes and covering his ears!! Had to do it....

Michaela is doing fine. She is nearly walking. She can walk if we hold one hand, or pushing her stroller, but hasn't quite mastered walking by herself
Her next checkup will be end of Jan, to coincide with her 1st birthday on 24th Jan.
She still weighs 8.8 kg (about 20 lbs), and has for the past 4 months. She used to be chubby buy now she's tall and thin. She had gained a little, but was sick with Rosiola and lost it all again.
She's got 4 teeth. 2 top and 2 bottom. Turns out she'll need oral surgery..... her upper lip is tied to her gums, which will affect her tooth development. (this is like being tongue tied, but it involves the upper lip and teeth rather than under the tongue. The effect at the moment is that her 2 front teeth are separate and she looks like a little chipmunk (if no surgery or treatment she'll end up with major buck teeth). Cute at this stage, but it won't be when she's older. Still have to find out when they do the surgery (it will be done under sedation), but hope we'll do it as soon as possible.
She says Mamma now, Arf for dog and cat, Ya for my helper Celia, and says babee all the time. She is very vocal. She points at what she wants and complains loudly if we take away something she wants.
She's still mainly breastfed, though she will eat solids if she likes (usually small amounts - probably max would be a couple of tablespoons of anything). Fruits, veges and fish are her favorites.
i haven't managed to get back to my prepregnancy weight. So that's my New Year's Resolution. And I do need to lose weight, considering I am trying to get pregnant again - and it still hasn't happened with 4 months of trying. Time to get serious. Jsut found out I am severely vitamin D deficient and my bone density has dropped by 15% since it was tested 2 years ago. Have to see my Dr. next week about how that will be managed. Hope it won't affect having a new baby....

Well Mikayla went for her second dose of the flu shot the other day and actually lot a lb, now weighing 24lbs 6oz. She is walking yet but scoots her butt all over the place. She is pulling herself up too but hasn't begun taking any steps. Mikayla is too taking either one long nap or 2 short ones. She going to bed around 830-9 every night. Lately she has gotten into the habit of waking up anywhere from 2-4am, just needing me or daddy to hold her and she falls right back alseep. This all started when she was getting her last 2 teeth at the same time and I think she just got comfrotable with it. She now has 5 teeth, 2 on the top and 3 on the bottom.
Now we are just starting to plan her first birthday - crazy!!!!
