Tour of L&D???

Has anyone been on a tour of the facilities of where you will be delivering yet??

I went last weekend, I thought it was really great...took my Hubby and son, so they know what the situation will be like.  Learned a few things, they have really updated the facilities in the Birthing Ward since 11 years ago....They have a patient fridge, so you can bring all your own food, with a microwave....just need to label everything!  Also the rooms are state of the art...the L&D room has a CD player in it, a flat screen tv w/ DVD player, and a birthing ball...along with its own private bathroom!!  The room in room has pretty much all the same stuff, along with a closet to store clothes and belongings, the only thing is you have to share the bathroom with the woman next door....and wipe everything down with provided wet wipes when done.  Not a big deal...and all babies are room in...so there is a cute litte rolling crib in each room!!  Nice stuff....

Good to know that I can bring Cds and movies with me, oh and my own food...I was psyched about that one...no crappy hospital food!!!

We have our Lamaze Class this weekend and thats when they give us the tour! It will be our first tour ever too seeing as we just moved here 2 months ago. I'm really excited to see the facilities and see what the rooms look like! We need to become familiar with it all, but I can't wait!
