Water breaking

So I know that my OB told me because of Alexander's position I may not get into a good labor pattern on my own so I am wondering if I should even worry about this stuff but hey can't help it. For the past two nights between 5:30 and 8:00 (last night was later and more or less all day long) I would get really strong braxton hicks along with a lot of back rib pain. The first night it did wrap around to the front but only every 25 minutes or so and I have been instructed to call only if they are 5-10 min for more than an hour. Yesterday the back rib pain seemed to be constant all day but definately worse during that time frame and BTW I take a dose of procardia at 5:00 and 9:00pm. My husband suggested maybe I wasn't drinking enough water so I downed about 25 oz or so and after I went pee as I was walking out of the bathroom the very front of my underwear felt wet. When I looked it was clear and up to this point my discharge has been mostly offwhite to yellow at times. It wasn't a lot but it seemed to trickle out here and there with movements a few times after than then stopped. I thought maybe I just didn't empty my bladder completely. Sorry about all this info but I figure we are all used to it by now. I am keeping a close eye on things today. I have not had anymore of that discharge but my back/rib pain is still there and from my belly button down is very sore and it feels as if I rode a bike for a long time yesterday if you catch my drift.
I know the procardia is supposed to relax the uterus but I've also been told that if you are really going to go into labor no medication will stop it. Also I wonder if I am just being paranoid as it has been two weeks since my trip to labor and delivery thus two weeks since the preterm labor swab came back negative. Its saturday so my OB's office is closed and I kinda would like to wait to call them until I have some definite going's on either way, I guess this isn't the best way to relax through the weekend either but just wondering what everyone's thoughts/insights were???? Thanks ladies!

Yeah I know, everything you've said makes total sense I just cannot get over how uncomfortable I have been the last few days. My next appt. is Tuesday so that is plenty close enough. We are hoping they won't be here before christmas but I also miscalculated the weeks from the hospital visit until christmas (I thought it was only 2 weeks instead of 3) so that is why I brought up the preterm labor swab no longer being reliable because it has already been two weeks since.

Hi,

Try to relax.  Sounds like the braxton hicks are kicking in and with 2 babies and little room imagine is not comfortable.  Things will also be stretching and moving more and this could explain the pain.

i've also started having these the last few days and in my case they're painful...(probably cause I have some other tummy issues going on).

The fluid could also have been urine (it would have been clear given how much you've been drinking).  Depending on baby position it is easy to lose urine.  As long as no more 'discharge' think dont worry too much.

Take it easy, keep your feet up, and hope by monday you'll be feeling fine / else go see your docs and get checked out.

From what you've said it doesn't sound urgent, but of course call your doc if anything changes or you really feel uneasy.  Hang in there - remember they said these babies aint likely to be coming before Christmas.
