It definitely saved me money. Cost me just over 1/3 of what disposables did.
i looked into using them and if you think i doubt your save that much money coz if you think of the amount of washing you would have to do and you have to wash them on a hot was its using alot of water and power so thats gonna cost alot and you can cheeply buy eco frendly disposiable nappys that are realy good and it works out cheaper! just a thort but i wanted to use then to save money look up on it and talked to people who have used them and they said its not worth it, so i dont think i want to use them now.
Thank you so much for all the help!!!
This helps tremendously!
Also try ebay...I would imagine they are on there....because you can pretty much find anything on ebay!
toys r us sell all the bits but im not sure if you have them in america
Hi there....I am doing cloth diapers as well....I had not used them in the past, and not that I am a tree hugger...but it appears that are landfills are being over inadated by disposable diapers...and in the long run it is cheaper on the pocket book.
I had ordered 24 cloth diapers so far...the best designed and the highest rated are bumgenius 3.0 (one size fits all) There are some great websites out there that have starter packages, how to wash instructions, and all the accessories.
I ordered the "shop and go" package which includes the shower head, wipes, and inserts ( I also ordered all white) !! It is $360 but that is about all that you will need!! So even after a few months it pays off. I also ordered a couple of snap-ez diapers just to try it, there were quite a few people that raved about those, they were on sale, go to products, dealz!!
Here are some websites:

http://www.snap-ez.com/Home.html (Snap-ez)
Alos I would suggest that you type something like "what are the best cloth diapers yahoo" in google....yahoo has a discussion on everything!!
found an American site...

The plain white ones at the top work fine. It is quite easy learning how to fold them. If you need help, I can probably dig up a page of step by step instructions and upload them to my profile page for you...
I usually purchase mine from a store we have called Target.
They are the type that you fold yourself, and I think you get around 10 for $25-$30.
You can buy disposable liners or washable liners.
I reccomend getting both types. Use the washable ones at home and the disposable ones in your nappy bag for when you are out.

Oops sorry the last comment was for atlantisea, Thank you super sally- I will try typing those, Lord knows I do have the time now for searching :)
Its okay! At least I know someone else out there is using them!
Everyone I've been talking to in my area looks at me like I'm crazy for wanting to (citing it as an inconvenience, and gross hassle, I will at least try before I give up)- but everything I've read about them sounds positive and better for children- I wish we would have tried them sooner and not been influenced by others-
Environment perks, financial perks, and I even read that children who use them have shorter potty training times- come on, that sounds good to me!
Is there a good affordable website you can purchase supplies from?
My sisters are sending me cloth nappies from Australia. I think you want to use towelling nappies, they are more absorbant (here in Phils the nappies are gauze-like and
I can just imagine the pee running through. I think you can also get nappy liners that are flushable so that the content can easily be tipped off into the toilet.
No websites yet.... good luck for finding. Maybe type in "towelling nappies" or "cloth nappies" you'll get lots of hits....
I have/will use cloth nappies. But I live in Australia.
Sorry I can't help more!
