Thanks. Reassuring to know someone else similar weight gain to me. :) Yes to diet buddies later..... :) I hope I don't gain much more..... trying to exercise more now.

You have gained a very similar amount of weight to me, and we weigh about the same as well. I think that you should find (like me and my previous pregnancies) that in the third trimester (as long as you don't start eating more) you gain very little weight.
Also, in the last two weeks, I start loosing weight. (I don't increase what I am eating and the baby with much higher consumption burns it off me)
Either way, a few more kgs won't make much difference to you, but dieting definitely will make a huge difference to your babies health. We can be dieting buddies later!
Thanks for your comments. I saw your tracker - you have slow steady weight gain. I've also been tracking weight you can see mine on my tracker... it is zigzagging, dramatically.
Am trying to exercise more, reduce carbs..... and avoid snacks other than fruit.
I am also fluctuating badly and gaining quickly. My doc thinks that it is fine though and hasn't a problem with my weight. (I do)
Why don't you have a look at my pregnancy tracker, because I record my weight in there on almost a daily basis.
Please don't diet now though. The baby needs what you are eating. I am usually 56kg and at the moment I am 79kg. This is my third baby and it happens to me every time.
A healthy diet and excercise will prevail after you have had the baby.
It will fluctuate and so many things are a factor, weight gain from water retention and from constipation if your unlucky like me and still suffer occassionally. The fact that you are doing the sugar counts and stuff could have a lot to do with it as well. I gained 10 pounds over a four and a half week period and I too didn't think I was eating much but then it dawned on me that I was eating ice cream every night which they saw is the worst calorie wise so i am cutting way back on it to see if it makes a difference by my next appt. Who knows but you may not gain a thing or even lose weight in the third trimester. I know its hard not to get upset, when I was pregnant with my son every time I saw my Ob or endo they always made a statement about how BIG I was or how big I was measuring all the time and it really bothered me. Hang in there!!!
