DARK BROWN BLOOD

I just went to the bathroom and saw a LOT of dark brown blood.  I will be 11 weeks on Thursday.  I have had complications with blood clots early on in pregnancy as a result of my thrombophilia (clotting of blood).

The doctor told me that we want to see brown discharge and small clumpy things coming out.  I did see some of that a few weeks ago.  BUT NOW - I am full blown bleeding dark dark brown.  I am petrified.  I am racing to the doctor.  Dear God - please do not let this be another miscarriage.  I am almost at the point where I can breathe a little better - ending my first trimester.  I just want a healthy child.  I am just mortified.

i am 6w2d and have just noticed last evening some brown spotting, it has scared the living daylights out of me, as i am 41yo, and know the risks! keep your fingers crossed for me, too. I have had little slight cramping, but still feel pregnant, dizziness constantly, and sore breasts, i have been trying to rest as much as possible, and wanted to get to around 7-8 weeks before consulting a doctor.

I'm glad to hear that the baby was waving!  I guess it's also good that that clot is finally passing.  Get some rest and good luck!

Just got back from the doctor.  The blood is the result of the clot that formed in my 5th week.  it is finally coming out of my system.  he wants me on bedrest for a week because of some detachment on the placenta.  my thrombophilia is really bad so he said to up my dosage of lovanox to 2x's per day.  I saw the little beans hand and feet moving around.  it was cool . . but i am still on edge.

Oh no please keep us posted. I know brown blood is old blood so it is reassuring to know it is not a new bleed.
