Aw...well, it really shouldn't be much longer before you feel him now. We're halfway there, and from what I've read, the baby will grow about a ½ inch each week and gain an ounce to an ounce and a half each week (hungry yet? I am!).
To be honest, I wish Greydon would calm down a bit. I've been feeling him bounce around since 12½ weeks, and since 17 weeks, he has been beating the snot out of my insides! I just wonder how much stronger he's going to get in the next 20 weeks at this rate. :-S
Gosh, I already have a wild, crazy, energetic almost-5-year-old boy--what have I gotten myself into? Lol.
Im here with ya. 17+ weeks and I really havent felt much of anything. I am starting to doubt the couple of times I thought I felt something...maybe it really wasnt the baby. By now with my daughter, I had felt her kicks. Its driving me insane.
At my 16 week appt...when they were looking for the HB witht he dopples, the HB was extremely low....like in my pelvic area still...that worries me a little bit.
Hoping to know more of where the baby is at our 20 weeks scan. I also am not sure if I am not feeling movement becauser I have a low lying placenta..so, will have to ask at my appt.
I am approx 19 weeks, will be tomorrow anyway, but Tuesday, I actually felt an elbow or a foot or a finger. it was something poking me. It was the first time I shared with my dh, I said put your finger here, and he was like wow. This will be our first child. It was so surreal. All we could do was smile and talked about it for about a half hour afterward. I have not felt it since, and I am looking forward to it. I can still feel our baby, just not to that extent that my dh can fell too.
I'm 18 weeks today and every once in awhile (like maybe once every other day) it feels like something just kicked me/bruised me on the inside. Is this the baby or is this just the uterus growing? I guess I'll know better when I really start to feel it.
I am 18 weeks, I'm pretty sure I felt the baby move today for the first time, this is my first so it's very excitting for me. It just felt like a light poke way down low, and then another one a few seconds later, I have felt it a couple times since, I am pretty sure that is what it was because I haven't felt that before. I can't wait untill it gets stronger and I know for sure that it is my baby. I find out on monday what I am having! I am so excited so I don't have to refer to it as an it anymore..
You know what is a hoot. Ever since I posted this he has been making himself known. Sort of like saying "sorry to stress u out Mom". It is a great feeling. :)
Kelly,
I'm the EXACT same way!!! I'm 20 weeks today and haven't felt anything but flutters and that's only at night when I'm laying on my side. I have my level 2 u/s next week, so I'm going to ask where the placenta is to see if that's why I have a hard time feeling anything. I can pick up the heartbeat pretty easily now, but no movements.
It's my first and the doc told me it could be more like 20-22 weeks until I feel it, but I am so anxious to feel some kicking! :)
I know it gets so frustrating. You just want to feel the little bugger. :) That is until they get so big that their movements actually start to hurt. LOL
See, I'm at that point--not even 20 weeks and my little guy is so active, and there are moments when it HURTS!
This morning for instance, driving to work, and he was *pummeling* my bladder. I was gritting my teeth so hard from the pain. By the time I got to work, I was seriously practically limping across the parking lot to the building and into the bathroom, lol. Actually, at that point I was thinking of all you ladies in this post, wishing I could have *that moment* where I had a "gentle" baby!
My husband had his hand on my stomach a few nights ago, feeling Greydon bounce around, and at one point, he kicked really, really hard. Brandon was so shocked at the strength of that kick that he jerked his hand back and just stared with his mouth open in awe at what he'd just felt, lol! I was like, "Yeah...I deal with that ALL day! And he's only gonna get BIGGER!"
I'm 20 weeks and haven't felt anything. It's my first baby, so I hope I will soon. I worry waaaay to much!
