Anyone suffering from nausea?

Hi ladies! I am so glad to be apart of this Feb 2011 community and am no longer in the TTC category! After 2 m/c - one at 11 weeks in December and the other at 5 weeks in March I am not about 8-9 weeks pregnant with twins. It still amazes me of the power that God has. We have truly been blessed and I do not take any pregnancy day for granted.

Has anyone been experiencing nausea? I am constantly either feeling nauseous or I am getting sick. Is there anything that has helped for you ladies? I eat crackers which helps a bit but sometimes after I eat them I start feeling sick again. Any suggestions?

I am taking zofran they switched me to compezine I'm also taking protonix. Tried seasick bands, Ginger, vitamins, Ginger ale, grazing through the day, resting, extra fluids. Nothing seems to work. I talked to my OB today and he said if this doesn't stop they are going to put me in the hospital to give me IV fluids and get me back feeling better. :/. Well either way I'll hopefully be feeling better soon. And I'm always glad that it means that everything is okay with baby. Just miss food and my life and friends!

Feel well ladies!

I also heard that sea sick bands work very good. I'm going to get some this week to test them out. maybe you can try them too. I know that with my other two children I puked up to the day they were born, so good chance i will have the same thing with this one.

I'd say sorry for all of your sickness, but it only means good things  :-)  I started feeling a bit nauseated this past week and have had a really difficult time eating but not over the top sick yet. Trying to be grateful for being average in my symptoms. Did your RE give you anything? I took home some "magic pills" last week that the RE said to use only if things got really rough. he said they were to cheat morning sickness but weren't for every day use. Maybe you've already tried something? I do hope you begin feeling well enough to get out of bed and return to normalcy though!

Bhenneker: I have the all day all night 24/7 morning sickness too. I am taking zofran for it but can still barely eat. I've tried ginger vitamin b seasick bands rest and eating small bland meals. Nothing is doing the trick. Haven't been to work in a week and can barely leave my bed to get to the bathroom because I'm so weak. Have you found anything else that works?  I hope you are feeling better, you are already to week 9 so hopefully this disappears soon for you. I'm 7.5 weeks so I have a while of this.

As for diabetic and morning sickness and dizziness I would suggest pairing protein with a carb, and lots of veggies. I have the opposite problem, hypoglycemia but with both it is important to eat every two hours and to have some protein as it will last longer. So things like cheese, peanut butter, eggs, tofu, meat if she can tolerate any of that. Also Ginger ale or Ginger chews can help settle her stomach. Best of luck, I'm in the same boat as her feeling so sick all the time. It's no fun but will be worth it in the end!

Hello, I am 9w today. And i am sick 24/7 which i don't completly mind b/c of my two other m/c (which i wasn't sick at all) I'm from canada so we have pills for it with my daughter (9months old) they didn't work at all but with this one the work for about two days and then 1 day i'm in the bathroom all day (don't mind it that much cuz then i know everything is fine). So i'm hoping they keep working b/c i have to return back to work in about a month to make sure i get enough hours for MET leave again. The whole morning sickness thing was a huge surprise b/c I haven't gotten my period since my daughter was born so when i started puking i decided to take a test and WOW i was surprised for awhile we didn't know how far b/c the whole no period thing but we had an u/s done a week ago which told us. ya for everyone BFP..... and a happy and healthy 9 months

Wow thats so ironic because one of my babies are measuring smaller than the other too! They said in my case I released 2 eggs during that cycle but they implanted at different rates. Baby A is 1 week to 4 days bigger than Baby B. They said that everything looks fine though and that it is common that one twin is larger than the other. Our Baby A had a HB of 137 at 7 week u/s and Baby B was already at 125! It is so exciting to see them progress even at such an early stage.

I have also been trying to eat smaller but more frequent meals but my office job isnt helping too much. I try and eat frequently though, not because I am hungry but because it helps fight the nauseous feeling I get. I do have to say I am a lot sicker for this pregnancy than I was for the prior 2. I am hoping that is a good sign!!

Congrats lil_lady25!  I am 7 weeks pregnant with twins too!!  Baby B is a little small but we saw it's heartbeat for the first time this morning and I am just hoping and praying he sticks around!  Baby A looks perfect and our RE feels certain that if anything, we will have at least one baby in Feb.!  This is our 2nd IVF attempt, our first ended in a miscarriage at 8 1/2 weeks which is why I'm worried about Baby B.  We saw a heartbeat last time too...but it was at 8 weeks and it was only 80bpm at that point.  Baby B is already at 124bpm at 7 weeks.

Anyway, I am feeling constantly nauseous too...but no throwing up (thank goodness!)  It's constant though.  I joke to my DH that it's like a never ending hangover, the headache, nauseousness, tiredness, and muddled brain.

I have found that eating small meals constantly does help.  The longer I go without food or something in my stomach, the worse I feel and the harder it is to get the nerve to put something in my mouth.  So, I am eating crackers, Cheerios, really bland stuff almost every hour.  I've found bread and cheese, bagels and cream cheese, pasta with just some butter all work.

I don't know if the sickness is going to go away, there's not a lot that we can do but just try to grin and bear it.  I know I am so happy for it since it means I am pregnant so I'm trying not to complain...although it does get tiring when trying to do normal things all day.

Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!  Congrats on everyone's BFP's!

I am just beginning to feel nausea. In fact today was the first day I have had difficulty actually eating but no throwing up. My doc actually gave me some pills. Said it was a short cut to ending nausea if I get a bad spell but not for every day use. Today I found that saltines were my new best friend  :-)
