Is it normal to have switched doctorsa couple different times during the first five months?

I knwo I post A LOT. I'm just  curious about so many things!!

I first saw a doctor before we got pregnant, talked to him about getting preggo. then I saw him again for our 7 week ultrasound, then i saw a woman dr, who i didnt like that much, i switched to a different woman dr and have seen her twice. i like her but then i saw the male dr that i saw the first two times for my 20 week ultrasound and i want to see him for the rest of my pregnancy...is that normal??

i feel so bad when i see the other doctors in the hosp (bcuz they're all in the same clinic, and see me when i come in)...i just wanted to feel them out to see who i'm most comfortable and connected best with...who else has done this? and should i feel awkward or bad about switching?

I switched OB's five times over the 34 months of ttc but haven't switched since. The other ob's weren't listening to my needs or concerns. But if you are staying with one office or clinic than usually it's the ob on call that day you deliver so you might get any of the ob's.

I havent switched doctors since this pregnancy but I did switch while ttc. We had an awful experience with an evil doctor that performed our D&C back in early January and have switched to a much better office. We do now go to 2 different doctors - my normal OB and a High Risk OB because of the twins and multiple m/c. I dont mind at all, it just gets confusing when I have an appt im like "which one do I go to today?"  I wouldnt feel bad if I were you. You should feel completely comfortable with the doctor that you visit. If your not, it makes the experience unpleasant.

I switched docs when we were seeing REs because I wasn't happy with the first. Then when we went to find an OB, I didn't do consults because it was so expensive so I had two appointments set up in case I didn't like the first. Lucky for us, we loved my first OB and canceled the other appointment.  I don't know about switching so late but I would definitely want to be comfortable with my doc and would change in a heartbeat if I felt I'd get better care elsewhere.
