My back is killing me has been since 12 weeks.....
I have been terribly moody the last few days.... I feel bad for everyone that comes in contact with me
My heartburn is still ridiculous despite my baby dropping.... I have to sleep sitting up :(
my hips ache
my belly is really itchy even though I put lotion on it daily and there is no rash....
my mucus plug has been coming out constantly for the last 2 weeks or so which is gross
I have no appetite at all I have to force myself to eat so im really not eating like i should and then I feel guilty....
I was extremely emotional a couple weeks ago I am very happy that it has tapered off
I am tired all the time (I swear i have had fatigue since the day I got pregnant)

other than that I got things pretty good... I am glad that the end is near.... but time seems to be going so slow now.... still 30 days till my induction day

I can relate to the emotions and loss of appetite. Of course I haven't had an appetite most of the pregnancy, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised now.  I've been really lucky not to experience much pain, but my feet are swelling so badly now that they ache. my HD tries to rub them but even that hurts. I get a massage every two weeks and that always feels amazing.  I use oil on my belly every night, so I haven't itched... thankfully!

Like trying I have the same auto immune condition so for joint pain YES YES YES and the back pain is ridiculous at this point I want a morphine drip the rest of pregnancy!!

No heart burn, zero swelling but I DO always feel like I've been kicked in the vagina!!

Oh my hubby had a sinus infection this week and said how he was so tired and nauseous and congested and couldn't breath or sleep well and was achy and I said hey how bout i kick you in the balls too and you can experience pregnancy! ;)

Naynay I have Ankylosing Spondylitis it is similar to rheumatoid arthritis but it specifically attacks the spine and hips making the vertebra fuse together and hips bones. It also can attack your organs. It has attacked my gull bladder I had to have it removed it stopped working. It has also attacked my eyes creating night blindness and my left eye became so swollen that the optic ring in my left eye actually ruptured and is floating around in my eye. It also creates damage in the discs in the spine and nerve damage. I have 2 spinal fractures, several discs that are messed up, a lot of nerve damage which has made my arms and legs randomly go numb. With this disease you often have irrital bowel disease which I have an includes regular bloody diareha and damage to the bowels and colon.

It can also attack heart, lungs, liver, kidney and other joints. I have had pancreatitis and severe kidney infections from the AS (Ankylosing spondylitis) and of course horrible unrelentless pain in my spine and hips. As the spine fuses your are left unable to bend and it is called "bamboo spine" because X-rays of the spine when fused looks like a piece of bamboo (one continues piece).

If anyone has questions I'm very open about talking about this disease or any other arthritic condition. I have spent a lot of time researching and learning about both the disease that I have and about similar diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, reactive arthritis, juvenille arthritis and such. Additionally you can find more info about this rare disease at spondylitis which is an org address or you can checkout mayoclinic's website.

So far while AS has changed my life somewhat such as difficultly working out, standing or sitting for periods of time and lifting anything heavy; I have only modified my life but not let AS stop me. I continue to horseback ride, I am finishing my PhD, I am about to be a mommy, I hike, camping, fishing and such. I have bad days where I cannot get out of bed or move or walk very well but I listen to my body, I pace myself when doing activities and remember I cannot do as much as others but in moderation I'll be ok :)

Normal treatment for AS includes chemotherapy based drugs and pain management such as extended release dilauded tablets. I am managing the disease with 2 vicodein per day (5/500mg) and that is it. There is nothing else I can take or do while pregnant that is safe. So I have become best friends with my heating pad ;) warm baths with Epsom salts and getting a pregnancy massage every few weeks.

*My siatic nerve hates me and sometimes goes out when I have to pee the most
*My left kidney is causing me quite abit of pain and noone can tell me why
*I am tired all the time, but I find it impossible to sleep mor ethan eight hours especially when I have to work.
*My feet are swelling, my left worse than my right
*I never have enough time
*I feel very unorganized and out of whack which is making me crazy
*My boy loves to use my insides like a speedbag

All and all I really haven't had anything horrible happen. I really have felt so blessed in the fact that we have been able to overcome every obstacle the Dr. say we are going to face.

Your comment to your husband is hysterical. My hubby started whining this morning about being tired because he hadn't slept well. I told he until he experienced something 5 lbs and 17 inches twisting and turning in his belly at all hours of the night, I didn't want to hear it. They really have no clue.

They sure don't have a clue but at this point I'd be happy to kick my hubby in the balls to give him a clue ;). He is so supportive and loving and kind but unil you experience this for yourself there is no way to understand

sunworshiper - sounds like youve been through so much, then pregnancy on top of it? Yuck. Sounds misterable, makes me think about how much i really dont have to complain about :) You sound like a strong women.

and men are so clueless about all this. mine was complaining about not being able to fall asleep and his knee hurting. :\. i was so annoyed. i cant fall asleep ANY night until at least 1 30 because baby moves from like 12:30 or 1 until like 2 am EVERY night. its her schedule. it hurts so bad i just cry sometimes from frustration. he can go away and sleep even worse somewhere else.  theres no way to explain pregnancy and what you go through during it, i agree with you all.

dont get me wrong hes great and taking care of me. i just dont wanna hear his complaining. :P

and trh- my appetite is just GONE these past few weeks. nothing sounds good. i have to force myself to make something to eat. and my morning sickness is back and ive been throwing up many mornings again.

my complaints are

the contractions confuse me and i never knwo when i should call because they get bad and then go away completely.
the baby has dropped and dr can feel her head so i have those "electric" shocks up my vagina every step i take. literally.
food ***** for the mst part.
my back hurts
the pressure on my pelvic bone and butt bone are getting worse by the day
my "period" type cramp pains radiates all teh way down my legs to my ankles and i cant get out of bed.
my neck hurts every day i wake up...along with headaches..but usually go away after i get up and walk around. very strange. and annoying.
theres always too many pillows or not enough.
its always hot and sweating
i cant walk across the house without feeling like i ran a race
i feel even more like a whale. nothing new. :P
my rings are just starting to have a hard ttime coming off., but i refuse to take off my wedding ring lol. its just my knuckles though. im not swelled anywhere else thank goodness.
HEARTBURN LIKE A MOTHER! all f-ing night. tums are worthless. even sunny delight and apple juice give me bad heartburn. i dont get it. maybe i get the acidity from the orange juice but my G-d. i feel like i just ate a flamethrower. which by the way i NEED and that damn dairy queen isnt even open again until mid feb :(.
the cats keep getting in my babys bassinet and crib. not sure what to do about that. yuck.
im so itchy on my tummy BioOil isnt helping me anymore.

Oh my gosh after reading everyone's complaints I don't think mine compare lol.

Well here goes.....

I am ALWAYS tired, my kids wake up at 5am - I am so OVER it!!!!!
I try and clean up the house but it feels like I am running a marathon
My kids are driving me nuts to the point where I called my mum up crying
I still have heartburn - not as bad as my other pregnancies but cutting white bread out of my diet has helped
My pelvis feels like it is going to crumble
I throw up once a month so I guess that is good :)
Oh I do have haemmaroids which kind of *****
My husband knows not to moan about anything with me lol

I think the only thing I am struggling with is my mental state :)  I had to go to my brothers for a few days because I felt myself slipping into a state of depression - thankfully that made me relax a bit more or else I would have spoken to my doctor about it.

have any of you had joint pains/soreness (like toes, knees , knuckles?) im thinking its fluid retention.

also, my calfs and shins hurt really bad...just achey, not spasms or cramps. just kind of a dull ache all the time

Okay-- I finally have something major to complain about. How sad that complaining makes me feel like it's a normal pregnancy? ha ha ha  Anyway, woke this morning and my left hip is ridiculously, painfully sore. I can't walk standing up. I can barely walk at all. It's killing me. Totally new to this kind of pain but I called my OB. Taking Tylenol temporarily but she said I should be wearing a maternity belt because ligaments and bones are shifting in preparation for labor. I told her I didn't even know what a maternity belt was but will be buying one this afternoon, as soon as I can manage to get to the store. Then she said to call tomorrow afternoon or Wednesday if it hasn't improved and we'll see about physical therapy. Umm, WHAT? I went from feeling amazingly great and wondering why I had no pain to talking physical therapy.  All I know is one of these days my child is going to be angry about something and tell me I don't love him. That's when I plan to unleash EVERYTHING I went through to bring him into this world... lots of needles, endless fear, countless appointments, constant worry, and awful PAIN!

But it's all worth it, right?!?!?!?!

The belt can help a lot and physical therapy can too :). It will all be worth it in the end. If you can't find a belt you can order it online. I hope you are feeling better soon. I bet the belt will help a lot. It keeps your hips from shifting all over the place so you can walk.
