The metallic of blood taste is very common in pregnancy. And very very common in general right before a person throws up. You will also notice that you feel almost like you are drooling which is your body's way of protecting your teeth from stomach acid by covering them in saliva.

The best thing to do is eat small frequent meals and do not have liquids with your meals but 30 min before or after.  Lastly stay upright (dont lay down) for at least 30 minutes after a meal. Stick to healthy low fat non greasy foods and eat what sounds good. If it smells icky to you don't eat it. Some people find cold foods easier to eat bc it has less smell.

You can also try vitamin B12 50mg once a day and Ginger either ginger tea or Ginger ale or suck on peppermints both of these are known for anti nausea properties.

I threw up until 15 weeks and I had the taste of blood in my mouth before throwing up. The taste of blood in your mouth is a common complaint in pregnancy. Also some women throw up their entire pregnancy. I'm 22 weeks and while I'm not throwing up constantly I threw up yesterday, apparently baby didn't like what I ate :P. But I'd see a dr about it bc it also could be an indication of an ulcer.

No I have never had that happen. I would definitely see a doctor about that. Are you throwing up blood too, or is it just the taste in your mouth? I am 23 weeks along and my days of throwing up were done by week 12. But I have heard of woman who are sick their entire pregnancy. Hope everything is okay. Keep us updated.
