Membranes scraped

Anyone else had their membranes scraped? Had mine done this morning and wondering how long it takes before labor gets going. I am 3 cm dilated and 50 %  effaced... not due for another 9 days though!

I think I'm suppose to get mine done today too. I ask last week but the dr said wait till I'm 39 wks. I'll be 39 wks tomorrow.  I have 8 days to go. But i have an appointment today. So we will see. I have a 12yr old already,  went into labor naturally, no sweep, no nothing. But this pregnancy I'm looking forward to a sweep. My legs and feet and ankles are swollen all day long. My body is in pain.  
Sometimes these sweeps work within a day or two.  Other times they dont. But i heard they are more effective if you are past your due date. But i guess we both will see.

Had cramps all day and a few irregular contractions here and there and this morning I think I lost a bit of my mucous plug. Is labor starting soon??

I had a sweep done wednesday & ive had severe back pain and cramping and irregular contractions and i lost my bloody show the last 2 days. Im hoping my little one decides to come soon (:

having it done today too. ftm. so ive just done alot of reading up about it. so it can take anywhere up to 48hrs to kick in. and once you start having those irregular contractions if you really wanted to get the ball rolling you can try and turn the inactive labour into active by nipple  stimulation, having an orgasm, walking and bouncing on a birthing  ball.

Ooh I had mines sweeped for my first kid n went into labor a couple hours later (water broke) I can't wait to get it done this time around.  (:

I asked thursday but my dr also waits till 39 weeks.. ill be 38 weeks monday n i go back wednesday so just one more week n i get to ask agin XD

I've had it done twice with my first son and nothing happened. I had a bit of cramping and that was all. I was bummed. Try bouncing on a ball! ;) good luck

I had mine done today, it doesn't hurt any more then your doctor checking to see if your dilated. Im dilated to a 5 and 90%  efaced, 39 Weeks 3days. And hope this will bring on labour.
