Your insurance will give you one talk to your obgyn about it
I couldn't pump with any pump :( I tried manual, electric, and even hospital graded one... no joy... I couldn't get much milk out and it hurts like hell! I had lots of milk but couldn't pump.
I have a hygiene double electric pump and an even flow single manual pump and I get more milk with the hand pump.
Thank you everyone! Very helpful!:)
Love this community. Going to miss it once my little man is here
Oh and if by chance you are the rare case and your insurance doesn't cover them, I saw on a deals site that Groupon had the pump in style for 150. Beyond that, if you know someone who has one I really don't think it's the big deal they make it. You can get all new tubing for it and the milk doesn't even go into the tubing anyways. Lastly, some women have great luck with manuals and sware they work better than the best pump, I never tried one! Good luck!
Yes it's an Obama care mandate that health insurance provide breast pumps, however some insurances were grandfathered in and do not (tricare does not). Go to medellas website and they have a link and will tell you if you qualify and how to get it. I had a cheap medella at first due to finances... it was terrible! It more so tugged at my nips than it did pump them. My sister in law stopped breastfeeding before me and gave me her pump in style... oh my goodness it was a heavenly difference.
Your insurance usually will provide a free one.
I would suggest you to get the evenflo single electric Brest pump? I paid 50 CAD +tax at target..
Some hospitals will give you a breast pump. I would looking into that before you go and buy one.
I'm pretty sure you can get a pump through Obama care. I read it somewhere. Call your local county health department. They can help you
