waters broken?

I am 37 weeks, yesterday I had what I believe was my waters or definately part of it. I was sitting having breakfast at a cafe 9am when I started to feel like I was weeing myself, but I knew I wasnt it felt like a constant trickle, it wet me my pad my knickers my skirt and my chair. I eventually got the hospital by 12- requested by the midwife. When I got there I was told theres no way to tell, so go for a walk and see if h loose any more, if u do we will induce u tomorrow (today) so I did... and nothing. So i was told anout my increased risk of infection if my membranes are ruptured but was told to just see my doctor on thursday.... feeling like they should have done an internal to ither rule a rupture in or out?  what do u Think?

Your water will not smell like pee, and it has no color... this is what i was told by my doctor.  Unless the baby had a bowel movements then there would be a brownish color to it. So that's a good way to tell...just smell it, and look at the color. And just because your water broke or you lost a little, you won't always have contractions. They should have given you an ultrasound to measure the fluid.

You don't start contractions if your water goes... at least not always.  With my last I lost my water and only started contractions after 24 hours. I would demand examination or a scan as you are right.... there is a risk of infection to you and your baby. It does sound like your water has gone.

If it was your water you would be contracting every 2 min where you would be needing to breathe through them it probably wasnt your water breaking
