I had one with my first and then went natural with my second and this time around in going natural again but with a nice dose of pain meds. The epidural is nice but they numbed down my right side more than my left so when I finally got up I was dragging a foot. The worst part about going natural is if you tear and they do stitches you can feel it. They numb the area but you can still feel the poking. The plus side though is that you can get up almost right away and I didn't feel as groggy as I did with the epidural.
I know I'm definitely getting it. I had it with my first and it was fine. Helped me actually enjoy seeing my son being born.
Not everyone is the same, for me i only got it with my first and in winter time my back is not good at all, horrible pain,am actually considering on getting one with this baby,i feel it gonna be my last, and just by knowing ama be induced makes me scared and wantung to get one but i dont knoe, one thing u know when you dont get an epi labor is faster, ofcorse depending if is your first pregnancy it may be linger labor and if you think you cant take pain, just go for it,get the epi
I have had them each time I had my children I haven't had anything negative happen! Plan on getting on this time around as well
Ive never used it with my first 2 and not planning on getting one with this one either. Im affraid of that needle in my spine. I heard that it can cause permanent effects.
