Get your hands on some Lactulose depending on what part of the world your in- its brilliant has helped me out alot.
Colace is safe to take. It was on the list of meds that were ok for pregnancy from my dr. Anyways
You can always call your doctor if you feel better about it!
I wouldn't take milk of magnesia! I just drink a glass of water in the mornings and try to eat oat meal or something that has lot of fiber in it!
Colase is a safe stool softener.
Try to increase your fiber intake. Also. If you're taking prenatal vitamins, ahhh your doc to check your iron, you might be able to eliminate the iron from the prenatal, that will help too.
Personally, hot chocolate seems to do the trick for me.
