Baby bump

Hello all,

I am 17 weeks 2 days today, and i have tiny bump, but nothing big, and was wondering when do you really start to show? I know that everyone is different, but i read a lot of posts and see that a lot of ladies already show.

Any feedback would help.

Thank you

Thank you, its good to know that prenatal yoga helps you, i use to do Kundalini yoga and regular yoga and i loved it, but as soon as i got pregnant i stopped going since wasnt feeling good, so will try prenatal.

Breathing definitely helps.

Thank you again to all the ladies here for their feedback.

I really like prenatal yoga.  It helps to stretch out my sometimes aching body and my instructor is wonderful. She is great at making sure we are all comfortable and the women in the class are all so nice.  Its like an hour and 45 mins of relaxation.  I am bummed when the class is over.

I also try to do some the breathing work I have learned when I get very tired and/or stressed.  It helps to remind me to slow down, not to fret so much, and just take a few deep breaths.  The class is so calming.

I hope you get a chance to take a class.

Hey! I am 20 weeks this week. I have gained only 8 pounds and have a small baby bump. Sometimes if I wear certain cloths some people can not even tell that I am pregnant. But, don't worry. Everyone is telling me that soon enough I will be feeling like a beached whale....and so will you! :)

Thank you for your note, it makes me feel better, i feel like i have a tiny bump, but more so bloating, people say that they can see my bump, but its not hard, so i dont know if its really a bump or just bloating.

But i hope everything is ok, i guess i am ready to show.

Congratulations on your pregnancy.

Thanks again.

Thank you, is it your first baby?

How do you like prenatal yoga, i want to take it also, but need to get doctors note that its ok to take it.
I cant believe at 34 weeks hard to tell if someone is pregnant or not, wow...

I had a friend, i didnt even know she was pregnant, until she was delivering, so i guess it all depends, but i am a tall person, and want to feel my baby from outside, just want to make sure he/she is healthy.

I am 18 weeks and if you ask me, I have a big bump, compared to my prepregnancy size, but I have lost weight with the pregnancy and look skinny everywhere else. Because of that, many strangers dont think I look [pregnant at all, just a little chunky.  Just last week 2 people that know I am pregnant told me that I dont look it, made me sad  : )

I work with a woman that is exactly 4 weeks ahead of me, and she is HUGE compared to me, I really think it just depends on the momma and her unique body : )

I am definately showing and Im 16wks.  I started to show a few weeks ago but I was admittingly not that fit before pregnancy (had a belly already).  Some women in my prenatal yoga class are near the end and some of them are not as big as me! In fact, the one girl is 34 wks and I swear you can't tell that she is pregant unless you see her at the right angle! She's healthy and feeling great!

Thank you so much for your response, congratulations on twins, its so exciting.

I cant believe they were able to tell you the sex of the baby at 12 weeks, i cant wait to find out.

I just want to have a bigger belly so i can really feel and see the baby from outside, but i do listen to a h/b every other day, so at least i have piece of mind.
Thank you for the info, it does help for sure.

I am 18 weeks and showing alot. I thought my bump was too small then I visited my friend and she is a week behind me and you can't even tell she is pregnant. She thought I was huge.
I am carrying twins though :0)
I think it is completely normal to be worried about your bump size but everyone is different. My Mum was the same size as I am now about two days before she gave birth!! She said she just looked like she had swallowed a bug pickled onion.

Your baby will be growing big now, it should be about 13cm but will be deep inside your body so you want be able to tell on the outside. One of my babies was sexed at 12 weeks when they were only 7cm so I'm sure they will be able to tell you. xxx

Take care, I hope this helps. On the BRIGHT  side, I can only sleep for half an hour at a time because it is uncomfortable to sleep on my side and I'm not supposed to sleep on my back so enjoy you couple of weeks of sleep before your bump comes :)

I am 17 weeks today and barely showing anything.  My friend is 25 weeks and she is really fit; she has basically no bump at all, showing less than me.  Everyone is different.

it all depends on your pre-pregnancy body type and if youve had more than one child...i think the 'normal' is around 20wks?
