Well...I'd have to say I will never forget where I was when I went into labor with my 3rd child.
It was Saturday Jan. 17th and for once Adam and I were able to 'pawn' the kids off on someone while we went out for a little while. We decided to go see Jim Carey's Yes Man. I made it through the entire movie, however when the movie was over and it was time to leave I stood up and my water broke ALL OVER the back row! I couldn't believe what had just happened. The credit had just begun playing so the lights weren't even up yet, but there was no doubt about it...I was soaked. I waddled my way out of the theater and into the car. This was about 5:20pm. I called L&D on the way to let them know I was heading in so they were ready with my IV since I was GBS+. We got there about 6:00pm...They hooked me up to my IV and got me in a room around 7:00pm. I was still 4cm 70% effaced and he was still -1 (up high). I was having contractions, but wasn't making progress so they decided to try Pitocin. I decided I'd get my epidural before the Pitocin b/c when I was induced before the Pitocin was much too strong for me. Well that was a mistake! The doctor couldn't seem to get the epidural in place and stuck me 7 times before finally placing it, and even then only the left side of my body was numb as where my right side was just kinda 'relaxed'. They came in and started the Pitocin at 10:23pm and the doctor came back in at 11:32 to check me. He surprised the heck out of me when he told me I was 'complete' and Corbin was down and I was ready to push. A few pushes later and Corbin arrived at 11:41 pm. He was 8lbs 30z and 20in long. We just got home not that long ago, so I have yet to experience what it is like with all 3 boys, but I'm sure I'll be able to manage :)
