June Belly Buddies Thread for January Mommies

Hi Everyone!  I'd love to hear your updates and how things are progressing.

I'm due Jan 12 with my first baby and at this point I'm just enjoying every second, hoping we make it to the end!  I have my third ultrasound on Friday and am hoping everything looks good and the little clot they found last week hasn't gotten worse.

My LMP was April 16th so the doctors determined I was due Jan 20th. But my cycles are 33 days long and I ovulated around D20 which puts me due around Jan 26th. I should know for sure on July 7th. My first Ultrasound. I feel like Its sooo far away. Anyone else had that problem?

Hello!  I am due Jan 31 with my first- currently 8 weeks 2 days. .we had two u/s so far, the first one showed a lower heart rate, so we went back for another within a week.
the HR increased, but not by "normal" standards HR was 111 instead of the 120-160 range.  But my blood pressure is like 89 over 50.  that's me calm, so I'm hoping the baby is as "calm" as I am.

So far I have gone through nausea, heightened sense of smell, extreme tiredness, insomnia, mild cravings, mild mood swings, and today I just feel depressed.

????

I had my first OB appt last week Monday - wasn't impressed w/the midwife.. might get a new one.  Nervous as all heck as this wasn't a planned pregnancy.  I am married, and he is very supportive but am still scared. :(   Just moved to this area and dont know anyone.  I feel so alone.  can anyone relate???

VaniDavila- wow - 4 or 5 h/b - good luck! My DH was stressing when the RE brought up the possibility of 3 when we did the IUI.

YogaChick - good luck with your u/s!

I've been making myself eat a small, light snack (crackers) about 2 hours after I finish lunch and that seems to be helping a little bit with the nausea. I don't feel 100%, but I keep telling myself I'm lucky it isn't worse and that I am more than halfway through the 1st trimester. I expect that the day I start the 2nd trimester I will magically be less tired and not nauseous. I'm also cutting down the size of my snacks. I usually eat 1 snack in the morning, another in the afternoon, and another after dinner. I am hungry more often so I am eating every 2-3 hours, but I cut down the size of the snacks.

My appetite has increased, but since I'm falling asleep by 9, my friskiness is not long-lasting. My RE did not place any restrictions on us. My first visit with the regular OB is on 6\24 so we'll see what he says.

Good luck everyone! Only 7 months to go!

I'm okay in the mornings too but by late afternoon I can't even think about food without getting nauseous.  Poor DH is banned from cooking with garlic and curry b/c I can't stand the smells.  My RE gave me Diclectin for the nausea and it helps a lot-- although it makes me sleepy too.

I have my 9 week u/s tomorrow and am hoping everything is still good. Right now though, I'm ready for a nap!

Funny, with my daughter (my second babe) my ""**"Appetite""**"" if you follow me, was incredible. I wanted to fool around all the time. This time, it's totally obligatory. Mind you at 9 weeks now, and having lost twins + another pregnancy at or just before this point and I had a cervical tumor and biopsy done just over a year ago so I'm probably a bit nervous about the 'integrity' of my cervix this time too.  I don't know.  I'm probably just not totally relaxed and enjoying being pregnant yet.  Good 'ol Dr John said it was fine and go for it if I felt like it, but to just not get too enthusiastic.  Fair enough.  As for nausea, wholewheat toast with virtually nothing on it - maybe a little creamed cheese - and pineapple juice are working for me.  I find I feel sickest when I get over hungry and the hunger niggles quickly turn to gagging, so I sip on the juice then about 1/2 slice of toast.  That doesn't fill me up too much if it's close to meal time as well.

lol... yes, you should do a poll! By the way, doctor said I can't have sex until they say it's fine (most likely till after 12 weeks)!! Anyway, let's change the subject... I know they have the lollipops that are suppose to help with the sickness and they also have some B6 vitamins that are available at any Wal-Mart. I have been trying those and they seem to be helping some. I asked about the ginger pills and they said that it causes contractions and to try sticking with ginger candy, I know, gross. Also try eating less. I know I can't eat as much as I use to eat... maybe that's a good thing since I've tried dieting and could never cut down on eating until now!!

I am the same way, although I sometimes get sick in the morning. I haven't actually vomitted, but I come close to it. I did get some pills from my doctor and it helps a bit. I also recommend avoiding meat.... Or at least I can't stand meat or eggs. What I found that helps me through the day is cheese and anything cold or crackers or something light. I thought my sickness was going to be worse since they found 4-5 heartbeats, but it's not too bad. I do get very tired throughout the day so I try to nap the most I can.

Hello! My EDD is 1/23 and this is my and my DH's first baby. We had been trying for about a year, were diagnosed with "unexplained infertility" in Jan, and we are so excited.

I am fine in the morning. But starting at about 2, I get very tired - exhausted, feel like I can't keep my head up - and I feel very nauseous. I haven't actually gotten sick, but I sort of wish I would. I have found that food helps, but by time I feel that way, the last thing I want to do is eat. I know I have already gained more weight than I need to - I'm constantly hungry. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to get rid of the nausea without food?

I just had my 2nd u/s yesterday - the RE said the h/b was strong. I have graduated to the regular OB/GYN.

I really like my RE and I'm disappointed he is no long a practicing "regular" OB.  I moved to NJ about a year ago and although I went for my annual exam last Aug, I did not like her, so I need to find a new OB/GYN. I've been busy trying to get pg, now that I am, I realize I did not think enough about what I need to do while I am pg. I'm reading What to Expect When You're Expecting. Has anyone else found a good book \ website that talks about what foods, activities, etc. to avoid?are good for pg?

Take care and good luck!
