taking the 3 hour glucose test??

When you had to take the three hour glucose test did your doctor tell you to "stock up" on carbs for three days before your tests???? It didnt make since to me that they want you to have all that sugar before your test in your system...

I was not told anything about my carb intake and I was told not to eat anything after midnight the night before. My 3 hour test started at 8am. Since this was just 2 days ago, I'm still awaiting the results...

I was given a high carb diet to follow as well.  But from my understanding that varies from doctor to doctor.   I passed even with the high carb diet..so I was happy as well.  I fasted fro 12 hrs but was told to fast for at least 8 hrs.

My doctor did not say that. I asked about my diet before the test and they told me just to be sure to fast at least 24 hours before coming in for the test. I passed the 3 hour test so I'm happy!
