Announcing the arrival of my twin girls!

Big sister Madison Michelle Vesey was pulled out on December 26th at 10:57am at 2lbs 11oz and 15.5 inches long. Taylor Rae Vesey came out a minute behind and weighs 4lbs 9oz, 17.5 inches long. Both are doing great and seem very healthy despite being born at 33 weeks gestation. They are both in the NICU and will be there for a while to help with development. My journey has been so amazing and I am so happy to start our lives together with these little miracles. I couldn't be more in love with these two little girls.

If I could give any advice at all is to try and keep your little ones healthy and inside your belly for as long as you can. I know that pregnancy can be a neusance at times but it is worth it in the long run. I'm going to be a wreck when I have to be discharged from the hospital and not able to take the twins home with me. Get lots of rest and relaxation and listen to your body. If you feel like your doing too much than you probably are. Your babies can't tell you this but they need you now more than ever.

Congratulations!  Your girls look beautiful and very healthy.  Thanks for sharing the photos on the site.  With them being so healthy, it's only a matter of time before you will have them home!!

Take good care of yourself now - since soon you will have both hands full!!

I saw your pic and couldn't believe it that you were holding one of the babies! Congratulations :) what beautiful names, too. So excited for you guys but will continue to pray that the girls keep up the good work and are able to come home sooner rather than later.  Good job, momma!!

Thank you so much ladies!! We also have gotten steroid shots which was great because I dont know how things would have been without them. We got 2 in early Dec and then 2 a few days before our c-section. Thankfully neither of the girls have needed breathing tubes and they are maintaining their weights very nicely. Tonight they were put into a room together which is wonderful! I cant wait to have them home but I also want them to be ready when they do come home. I couldn't be a more proud mama of her strong babies :)

Congrats.. glad they are both out and in the NICU safe and sound. I cant imagine how tough it will be- but your're a strong mommy and got them this far. A lot of times babies will stay in the NICU the minimum number of weeks till they would be considered full term/gestation. There was a big difference between the two, but I cant imagine anything less than them both being healthy and happy-reguardless of how big or small!!

Many prayers and hugs to you during this time!!

Congratulations! I appreciate your advise about not rushing these babies out of our wombs. I watched my brother's twins in the NICU. They were there nearly a month and both were smaller than your Madison. It was hard for them to be away. They are wild 6 year olds now!

Bless you and your growing family!

Congrats! i'm so happy for you and happy that they are doing good. It'll be hard to leave them in the NICU but like you said you know that they need it. And like Mum said before you know it they will be home and it will be an adventure like no other! twins are an amazing experience. Congrats again girl!

Thank you, no they haven't told us how long the girls will be in the hospital for. It all depends on how well the girls do. There are a few things that helps them decide like if they are eating okay, regulating their own body temp, ect. I cant imagine that we will have them home in the next week or two and I have a feeling that Madison will have to stay longer than her sister since she is half her size.

So happy for you, left you a note on your profile page.  Great advice by the way.  I know it will be hard leaving the girls at the hospital but hopefully time will fly and they will be home with you where they belong in no time.  Did they tell you how long that will be?
