Being induced on Monday the 3rd!!

Hello everyone.  I went in for my 39 week check.  I have been dilated at 1cm and 50% effaced for the past month.  That is my usual MO.  We scheduled an induction for Monday the 3rd!  this is only 3 days before my due date.  I tend to have larger babies and really don;t want to get torn up this time but I'm sure she will be a big one as well.

I very well could get the 1/11/11 date- cause 1/7 is when we'll decide what is next... no contractions today that I have noticed- so kind of a bummer.

I am 40weeks 1 day and barely dilated.. I badly want to try for natural birth and VBAC with little to no drugs- but this baby sure seems to be too stubborn!!

Jan 3rd is just around the corner - maybe you'll be our first "January Baby" - we'll see what happens to everyone over the weekend.

Here's my update - my doctor has been out of town all week.  I last saw him 9 days ago and am scheduled to see him next Thursday the 6th - am a little nervous since I will not have been checked for 2 1/2 weeks, esp since I am almost 38 weeks along.  I'm monitoring myself, checking my Blood Pressure at the supermarket, monitoring fetal movements, etc.  If I have any concerns, I can always go to the hospital.  

I believe I am still breech, so doubt I will go into any early labor - baby has not dropped.  Am scheduled for a C-Sx (if baby remains breech) on Jan 11th.  I like this date since it is:  1/11/11.  Maybe Caralea will be the same date :)

Any updates on anyone else??

Good luck on Monday.. sounds like you may have your baby before mine, even though she was due today- LOL

Here is myl update after the DR... I am about 1cm dilated, thinning out and still pregnant. All vitals are great: BP normal, no protein or sugar in urine, 144 HR and still able to wait another week to try for a VBAC.

Next Friday- if I am still pregnant we'll have a NST, US & Check up to probably schedule a c-section for the following week (Jan 10-16)
