I agree with dragon1973, If you have any pain you should go straight back to the hospital. I know the waiting around is awful and that in itself is torture enough but if you have any pain at all it can genuinely be a life threatening situation. I really hope everything is ok and please let us know how it goes.  Im praying that you have a healthy pregnancy and this doesnt turn out to be an ectopic.

Hi there Poker19,
I feel for you so very much.  I have had an ectopic scare and it was frightening to say the least.  Everything that everyone has said was good advice, and honestly please keep in mind that Ectopic Pregnancies are a life threatening situation, as a acquaintance of mine had a ruptured Ectopic pregnancy and nearly hemorrhaged to death.  It was caught in time because she went to the emergency with excruciating pains, but she did lose a tube due to it.  So please, if you feel any pains at all, do not hesitate going to the emergency room.  It is a life and death matter.  I certainly hope this is not something you are having to go through right now.
So for all the ladies out there who suspect that it may be Ectopic, do not hesitate to get your doctors on track to follow up and make the determination as soon as possible if it indeed is Ectopic.  There is no reason to make you wait, especially if you are having pains.  If your doctor puts you off and says wait for an ultrasound, GO TO THE HOSPITAL and let them perform ultrasounds on the basis that you are experiencing pains and are worried about Ectopic.  The emergency doctors should not turn you away and should do everything they can to make that determination as they know what a serious situation Ectopic pregnancies are.  If they have turned you away, go back.  Hopefully they will take you seriously when you return in pain.  If they don't I would go to a different hospital.
Please update us.  I am hoping/thinking for and about you.
In addition to anything I have mentioned, please keep in mind, that while I or others may have extensive knowledge in many areas, you should always seek professional medical advice from your own physician, as it pertains to medical conditions or concerns.
Good luck, and if you have any other questions that I can help you with, please feel free to message me directly.

Sincerely,
Sandi (Dragon1973)

Im so sorry, I went through exactly the same thing in feb.. they could see a mass in my tube and suspected ectopic. I had to go back 2 days later and my hcg level hadnt doubled so an ectopic was confirmed.  It was the hardest thing in the world, and all the uncertainty is so difficult.  How far along are you?  have you had any bleeding or spotting before now?

It may well be that it is too early to see anything, but if the mass in your tube is ectopic then (as much as it doesnt feel like it now) the fact that you are already bleeding may be a very cruel blessing in disguise.  It means that your body is dealing with things on its own which means no medical intervention and that is definitely the best thing for you with regards to healing.

I know that you dont want to loose the baby and I would have given anything in the world to keep mine too but a baby outside the uterus cannot survive in any circumstance and you need to remember that there is nothing you could have done differently, its just a cruel twist of fate.

Im hoping with all my heart that this advice is not needed and that at your next scan everything is ok but if you need to talk please email me as I really know what you are going through xxxxx

I have never experienced that before, but I do know that if they catch an ectopic pregnancy at the right time, there are ways to fix it that do not involve surgery.  I know you do not want to loose the baby!!  I will pray for you right now!!!  But on the bright side of the worst case scenario... there are ways to take care of it quickly and non-evasively so that you can try again immediately!!!  Let us know!
