Seeing sex of baby on 3D ultrasound

I was just wondering...I have a 3D ultrasound this week. I will be 13 weeks. Has anyone learned the sex of their baby at 13 weeks with a 3D ultrasound? I've read that sometimes, with this detailed ultrasound, they're able to see that if the baby is postioned right and the technician is experienced.

Hi :o) had my ultrasound yesterday. At the end of the ultrasound the tech asked if we wanted to know what she "thought at this point"  and of course we said yessss. She thinks it's a boy because she was consitantly seeing what appeared to be a scrotum. But made it very clear that It is early and deff could change, but she was pretty confident from what she saw. Soooo to actually confirm it we'll have to wait until 20 week U/S. But most important baby looks good and healthy with a 167 heart rate and kicking around.   Can't wait to see my Baby...pink or blue :o)

I was just at the dr's today for a 16w u/s and she wouldn't even hazard at a guess.  She said even then they still all look like boys - LOL.

Let us know what you find out!

I have heard that at 13 weeks some of the genitals are still looking very similiar to each other. I would certainly be curious during this ultrasound, but wouldn't take any definitive answers. So much fun though!

That would be really early to see the sex.  I too have heard that it's possible, but that's a lot of "ifs" to overcome.

I have also heard of early u/s's resulting in a false conclusion as to sex.  I know at least 2 or 3 people who were told they were having one thing, but turned out to the be the other.

Good luck at the u/s though.  It's always nice to see the little bean and you will get a good detailed look!
