Hi there, yes I was told back on Nov.5th when they believed I was only 30wks that my girl was just over 4lbs, and then this past tues (Dec14) she was at about 6 1/2lbs, my ob is now finally agreeing with me however that I am about 38wks rather than 36wks...(issues with edd). So that would make her pretty much "right on track". 34wks and 5lbs sounds about right, yes?!
At my 36 week check my baby was 3kg (6.6lbs).
I had a ultrasound done a week ago and she's slmost 5 lbs. I'm 34 weeks. We're about the same for our babies.
Hi, i have my last prenatal check up when i was 33weeks and 3 days,,i just want to know if its normal for unborn baby to weight 2100grms at 33 weeks and 3 days?
How the baby can fit inside mothers womb?
ahh i feel like the only one of us thats doc hasnt given them an u/s in their 3rd trimester, my OB is giving me some crap about my insurance won't cover it unless she has a specific reason to do it..which i know is bull because before we moved my first OB automatically had me scheduled for one at 35 weeks and said my insurance would cover it since its pretty standard procedure to see how big the baby is and what position they are in. I really want them to do one because if Faith is breech i'd like to be mentally prepared for the possibility of a c-section. The last u/s i had was at 20 weeks for the growth/gender scan. I just wanna see my little girlll =[
Hello -
Had my first trimester ultrasound at 35 1/2 weeks (last ultrasound before this was at 20 weeks) - so you are not alone. My doctor tries to be a minimalist (which I don't mind since I have a high deductible and this is all still coming out of my pocket.
The baby is still breech, and is measuring about 37 1/2 weeks (ie: large baby) - which would make any external eversion technique to flip the baby around more difficult.
I think he wants to see me on a weekly basis now and will do another ultrasound next week.
thanks ladies ,to sha232 my bubs is weighing 2235grams or something like that so yes its normal for bubs to weight that
Mine was 4 lbs 11 oz at my 32 week appoinment. They haven't given me another one which terrifies me since I am do to go in for induction tomorrow and am hoping she didn't get too big (my DH was 10 lbs... but born at 42 weeks. I will be almost 40 weeks tomorrow :o)
goodluck for tomorrow hope she isnt too big for you
Thank you! And me too! :o) lol
I was told 3lbs & 4oz at 26 week u/s I believe... I havent had another one since- I could have had one last week to double check size/weight if I wanted to or was nervous and they said that would help put my mind at ease. But I opted not to.
But this last time my midwife was poking around my belly to check her position and size, she was thinking she is going to be a good sized baby compared to my son who was a runt at 6lbs 14oz at 40 weeks 6days. The midwife said there is a possibilty that my baby girl is going to be in the 8lb range.. but since I am bigger- it is all mearly a guess, even the u/s would be a guess.
I have 10days till due and would like to have her in 12... hopefully she dont get too big for me to have a successful VBAC!!
GOOD LUCK Brigadiva
I have no idea how much our baby weighs and I won't know till D-Day. HA! I'm measuring right no time...so I imagine that means I am in the normal weight zone? Most of the kids in my family are under 8lbs. Both of my sisters kids were in the 6lb range. I'm not real concerned about it. We opted out of ultrasounds all together. So we are in for a real surprise. It just didn't seem like a necessary procedure and our midwife agreed with us. I'm the type of person that too much testing freaks me out. The waiting...the guessing. UGGH! It's torture! haha. My Mother reminds me all the time that she didn't have any of the testing either and all three of her kids were healthy and fine.
With my first child I did not have any ultrasounds etc and he was a 8lb 1oz surprise and completely healthy. With my 2nd I had one ultrasound only because I had no idea how far along I was since she was conceived during the heltic holiday season. I was 9 weeks so after that it was all a surprise as well and she was a healthy baby. Now my last two I did do ultrasounds since I was 35 when I had Emily and am 40 now due with Jenna. I didn't want any surprises if we were to have a special needs child. I wanted to be educated and prepared if that were the case. Emily was my largest at 8lbs 12 oz. I am hoping Jenna is smaller. Emily did a # on me.....lol
