I agree...those test can give false positives, I didnt even want it done because of.hearing some ppl say it gives false positive results, andI dont like worrying for nothing...i did not have it done with my first pregnancy, but this is my second with a new doctor and was so disappointed when she insisted that I have it done...it turned out negative
they jus say the ratio...hw can dr say whether pos or neg....
well, actually its normal fr yu to get stressed...how can ur dr say its positive,....they jus show the ratio...!not pos or neg...just chill...side effect of this test is stress...better is not 2 do it n stay calm...
Mines came back abnormal and I had a ultrasound a few days later for ds and everything was a okay just pray but those test has a high rate of false positive good luck
Idk if theres positive or negative,.my doctor just said my test came back normal so idk you should call and ask for more information .
Well, what an awesome nurse, you can't just test "positive" for down syndrome, you can have a higher ratio of having a baby with down syndrome, but a blood test can't say, yes your child will have down syndrome, unless it's realllly high, and that's pretty uncommon. If they test too early or too late, it can also throw off the accuracy, and since they did it early on you, that might be the problem!
Literally all she told me was my blood tested positive for it.
What do you mean it came out positive? Usually the blood tests will come back a ratio, of how likely your baby is to have it. Did they notice any markers for DS in your U/S either? I wouldn't stress over it, honestly, those things come back inaccurate ALL the time!
