Dont know if ill have a baby shower

We haven't talked about one yet, I don't have much family or friends...no one has offered and I certainly wont be asking, I'm due jan 21st! I would really love the experience its our first baby :) I have considered throwing my own but I honestly have no idea how to throw a baby shower. Please help.

Hi i'm due 7 jan (although we can expect baby anytime from xmas) we are having another boy! and will be having the shower mid oct as our son will be 9 @ the end of oct. Will start xmas shopping nov. We never did baby showers with our other children but since living here in canada a few years ago from UK met a work friend & she offered! I've been to a few some are better than some but its all about having fun. I would have done it myself if no-one offered. All the best!

A few of my older guests were a little weird about it, but it's a baby, it's not supposed to be clean and neat, haha! My sister offered to do mine this time, since my other sister did it last time and made it miserable!! Maybe try to find a way to bring up a baby shower around your family, and see if anyone offers? Usually someone will though, especially being your first!

Thank you for the comments if no one offers soon I think I will do my own :) Nov. Sounds like a good idea I feel better after reading your comment ktowne, and that game sounds very fun :)

Mine is Nov...as far as mine has always been we never did games just finger foods and drinks and would just sit around and relax...

If no one offers, which I'm sure they will, it being your first baby! I would definitely do one myself, it's not uncommon, and who cares what anyone thinks?! You need a place to do it, whether you rent a place, or you do it at home, food, games, decorations, cake, prizes for games, and all that fun stuff, and that's it!! There are tons of games to play, bingo, guess how big you are, trying to melt a baby out of an ice cube, we played a game at mine where you melted a candy bar in a diaper (looked like baby poop) and they could only smell and look at it and had to guess what kind it was. It's really fun, I really suggest doing one! I'm due January 19th, and I'm having mine Nov. 4th, I've found most the ladies due in Jan. are doing theirs in Nov. to beat the holiday rush, so that's probably your best bet, good luck hun!!
